It was a pleasant change to sit in an airy space with a view, but apart from that, the meal and service were pretty average. It aspired to be better than a burger joint, but in practice, it was all rather forgettable.

Group of 6 went for dinner, two of which were celebrating birthdays. When server found out at the end of the evening, she offered both free desserts. Service was great. Food was excellent. View over the harbour beautiful.

One morning (like many) my partner and I decided to head out for a bite to eat somewhere. We have a handful of regular go-to's for great breakfast but thought we'd try somewhere different. Somewhere in conversation I had heard someone mention that this place was good. So we went on down. The view- if you are fortunate enough to... More

We managed to get seats overlooking the waterfront, and this made a pleasant backdrop to our meal. We had good service from a friendly waitress, and enjoyed our meal. I had a nicely prepared salad, lasagne and ice cream. I would happily go there again.

I'll start off by saying the food was really delicious & we enjoyed that. However, our server was the worst we have ever experienced in St. John's. No refills on drinks, no checking in to see hwo it was going...having to ask to GET a drink. Ultimately we were left feeling we were bothering this person. We did not leave... More

We went to Rumpelstiltskin's because it probably has the best view of any restaurant in St John's, as you can see right out into the harbour. We were not disappointed with the view, and the food was standard but quite good. I had the partridge berry pancakes, which were better than expected, but nothing that blew me away. Definitely worth... More

Visited Rumplestiltskins for brunch with family on Regatta Day. The food was good; fresh and tasty. Pancakes were light and fluffy and the partridgeberries were juicy and sweet. Our server was prompt and professional, however not overly friendly or warm. The best part of our visit was the view - this restaurant has probably the best view of the St.... More

My wife and I had breakfast on three occasions during our vacation in Newfoundland. We really enjoyed the lighter breakfast option on the menu; fruit, yogurt, juice, and choice of carbohydrate. We had the toast and in house made muffin. The muffin used locally sourced partridge berries.... yummy. The staff were friendly and the service was at the appropriate pace.... More

Good steaks and pub food. Good service. Situated downtown with window views of the harbour front and the battery. Equally good spot to meet friends for lunch or to have a casual dinner.

We had dinner here one night when visiting St Johns; There is lots of parking in their garage and the food was top notch. Highly recommend
