Duke of Duckworth has excellent fish and chips in a great old pub atmosphere. Everyone in our group ordered the same thing and we all agreed, the Duke of Duckworth was where it was at for fish and chips in St. John's. Excellent with a...More

I always find whenever I go here it's always so loud and noisy. You can't really talk to anyone next to you because it's so loud. We only had drinks here and all I can say was the service was fine. We just sat at...More

This place had the best Fish and Chips I have ever had. It is on a side street so may be hard to find. It is not a fancy place, but more like a bar.

We always come to the Duke whenever we travel to St. John's. We love the food (ohh, the fee and chee!), the atmosphere, the beer! I always fantasize that Allan Hawko (his retired TV program, Republic of Doyle, filmed here) will step into the place...More

Decided to take my mom out for a really good meal as she was confined to the hostel for quite sometime. We all just loved the atmosphere, service with a smile and of course the food. Will always come back!

Excellent service and a great atmosphere! Definitely has a local kind of vibe, but very welcoming! Bathrooms are a but out of the way to get to, but a cool spot to hang out.

Not very expensive, great selection of beers. Fish good, but need to let it sit on a towel- fried- to drain it a bit. Good company makes time even better, They have Locally caught cod- the best.

Great old spot. Not huge, and kinda cramped, but the place oozes character. Not many local beers on tap, but a decent selection nonetheless. Super friendly staff. The reason to visit: excellent fish and chips. Delicious batter on the fish, and cooked to perfection. Tartar...More
