We stopped at Fred's on our way to Moncton. It was absolutely delicious. The best fish and chips ever.

Went here on a rainy mid week night last week. There were a lot of people for a small town which should have told me it had great food. Service was excellent...very clean. We shared a seafood platter plate and it was big and delicious Best battered clams I ever tasted...served with fries, coleslaw and peas/carrots. Can't tell you how... More

I have been here a few times with friends in the past month as I found out they are open all winter. All of us had fried clams and in my opinion, they are simply one of the best in the area. The clams were perfect- warm and crisp. They tend to give very big orders and I usually order... More

This is a great seafood restaurant with lots of selection and good prices. I had the Lobster Sandwich. It was delicious and a generous portion. Our waitress was very friendly and efficient.

We went for a drive on a beautiful Saturday and stopped At Fred's restaurant for lunch. I had the fish and chips which was cod with the best tasting batter I have ever had, light crunchy allowing you to taste the cod. Served with a very nice cold slaw and tartar sauce. My wife had the Lobster Roll which was... More

After church we gathered at Fred's for our dinner. We arrived late and we were all separated. No issues they moved tables to accommodate us what a nice feeling. Everyone had their food, they have the best Hamburg steak dinner with gravy and onions, mash potatoes, cold slaw and vegetables, you have to know this is my favorite. They have... More

During our stay in shediac we had 2 dinner meals and 1 breakfast meal. I had the fish & chips one night and the nice thing is you can choose how many pieces you want so if your not a big eater that's nice. My parents had the fish cakes and they said they were very good. I also had... More

Deep fried everything is the theme here - and, unfortunately, they do not excel at this. The food was fried to an anemic looking beige, meaning that it lacked the yummy flavour that deep frying should impart. Top this off with under-spiced batters, and you've got a recipe for bland. Instead, choose Chez Camille, which is not too far from... More

I have been here many times over the years mostly with groups of people who insisted we visit. Although the name has been around for years and restaurant is busy and reasonably clean and has casual decor, it is hard to know if you're going to get great service and food or just plain average food and slow service. Because... More

We've known the "Fred's" name for years and we finally decided to check it out. First, the food was OK but not great. Bar Clams should be advertised as just that; they are not in the same league as full-bodied clams and resemble clam strips. Given the quality of the clams, the quantity was more than sufficient but had they... More
