We were excited to eat here after reading some reviews but we're very disappointed. Although the staff were wonderful and very friendly the margaritas and food prices were unsatisfactory. We had to send the margaritas back as they were not authentically prepared - the lime juice was not fresh but commercial syrup with a horrible lime Rickey taste. The nachos... More

I had read that this was one of the best restaurants in Saint John and was somewhat disappointed by the experience. The restaurant is small and quaint (some might say tacky) although this was not troublesome to me. The food was less unique and fantastic than I was hoping for. For the most part, it was your typical Mexican fare... More

Stopped by during our overnight in Saint John because we saw that it had been featured on the Food Network's "You Gotta Eat Here". Dishes sampled included the chicken flauta, chicken quesadillas, the pork chimichanga, and the Taco Al Pastor. Presentation was nice, but all dishes sampled lacked flavor. The best of the bunch was the Taco Al Pastor which... More

Took my friends to Taco Pica one Saturday evening. The food was amazing, the entertainment was great. We loved listening to Corey Jellison that sang many 90's hits. The ambiance of the restaurant was truely relaxing and romantic. We definitely recommend the Chorizo and cheese sandwich and the Shelfish and Green sauce was exquisit. Service was great as well. Thanks,... More

The food and atmosphere left much to be desired and the prices weren't on par for the value. It seemed like it was trying to be rustic but failed and turned out grungy.

I had high hopes based on the menu, the look of this small resto, the 'you gotta eat here' recommendation, and the prime location. Unfortunately, the chicken burrito I had lacked flavour, spice and anything authentically Mexican. My wife's dish also lacked any real zing. The burrito was essentially a wrap with steamed chicken and chopped red bell peppers...no cheese,... More

Hi Joseph, thanks for your review, but i beg to differ, specially when there are no burritos nor canned veggie mix in our menu. More

Just finished "lunch" here with my husband. It was cold and rainy and so we were looking for a good Spanish meal to hit the spot. When we walked in we should have known better, it did not smell clean, the décor was classless and tacky and our table cloth looked and smelled like it hadn't been washed in a... More

We are sorry to hear about your lunch experience. There a few things I would like to respond, first the decoration is reminiscent of a small latin american restaurant with hats, marimba; original paintings of guatemalan and mexican scenery; hand carved masks and handcrafted tablecloths: which by the way, must be changed and washed frequently in order to abide to... We found the taste to be rather bland. Expected much more flavour, more kick. The portions were good, price a bit high, service was slow. Enjoyed the live entertainment.
