Hi there , The crab and spinach dip is most certainly a favourite here at the Alehouse . The crab is puréed in the dip therefore you won't find any chunks of crab. I'm very sorry it wasn't to your liking. I will make sure...More

It's all about the location. A lovely patio looking out over the harbor. Food was well prepared and presented. The $60 1# Lobster Roll is well worth it for two people to share. But, the servers were untrained, inattentive, and sloppy. Not one meal was...More

Tried a couple of local brews and several apps. Had a great time. Watched the Buskers street festival from our table.

The ale house does well with its pub grub, a bit of a miss on the steak but more seasoning than cooked level. Nice atmosphere, good for business lunch.

This place does have a a good selection of craft beers and do it well. It is on the board walk and appear to attract a younger set. Food is average.

After reading other reviews on travel blogs, we had to try the lobster roll. It is huge! And the most expensive sandwich I've ordered at $42. The bread was also delicious with the fries. The kids meals were of good quality- organic hamburger with great...More

A great location with great food and service. We were there on Canada Day so the place was mobbed. But the hostess and servers took pity on us tired travelers and got us a table almost immediately. The service remained, throughout, very good. Great pub...More

Yes, our Gluten Free options on the menu have a GF beside them. Our chefs are very well versed in this and all our food is made from scratch and can be modified to meet your nutritional needs.

We are a progressive pub with loads of local craft beers on tap and in the bottle. We have great Chef Jesse Vergen that seeks out the very best of local ingredients to present an ever evolving menu. We are cutting edge, fun and entertaining...seek a reservation online or give us a shout. We sit on the waterfront in Saint John with great entertainment and a big patio for fun all summer long!
