We grabbed a table on the wharf where we could listen to the music, and looked at the menus quickly. This one caught our eye -- something for our little person, and something that appealed to us too. Wow. It was fantastic. We shared a mixed board of local cheeses, charcuterie, olives, and bread. It was an excellent value --... More

I did enjoy my meal at this Ale House, by making a few personal changes to menu selection. I was very pleased with the wait staff trying to accommodate my request, however the presensation left a lot to be desired. We had several people in our party and we found the menu was a bit limited, was not too impressed... More

The best French Fries I have ever had! We were just traveling through and stopped for lunch. Trouble finding parking; GPS wanted us to turn down the street that is closed for pedestrian use only. But panic short-lived, there's a big parking lot just down the street and practically adjacent. It was a cold, windy, rainy day, so nobody was... More

This is an excellent pub with good quality beer selection and well prepared meals. I had haddock and fries and went quite well with the beer. Atmosphere is good and animated. Service very good.

Loved our meal here. Chose the light and refreshing blueberry ale from their fantastic beer selection (Ale House = duh) and it was a delight - fresh blueberries floating up and down in the ale... a lovely unique treat on a hot night! The food was outstanding. The rib eye was over-priced but I just LOVED it - succulent, juicy... More

I think it may have just been our menu choices but overall I wasnt overly impressed with the food. However the chocolate cake we ordered was delicious. Also note there menu changes and may not be reflected on their website.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed are meals at the Ale House. I ordered the haddock and chips and the one piece of fish was probably around 25-30 cm. long. The chips tasted great -- everything tasted great. They had a nice selection of beers as well. We were there on a Friday evening, so we also enjoyed the outdoor... More

The Saint John Alehouse is a fantastic place to go for a delicious meal, cold beer and a good time. You can't go wrong with their crab and spinach dip and their fish and chips are the best in town. They have a huge selection of beer with all the local craft breweries represented. If you want to have a... More

This restaurant is surrounded by fun! Great location near the water, ports, many other restaurants, volleyball courts, etc. paid parking in lots not far from restaurant. Food was good. Buttermilk chicken and steak were both good. Service was outstanding!!! Very friendly people. Didn't wait long to be seated or get food. Wash rooms are not the best. Not great location... More

We are a progressive pub with loads of local craft beers on tap and in the bottle. We have great Chef Jesse Vergen that seeks out the very best of local ingredients to present an ever evolving menu. We are cutting edge, fun and entertaining...seek a reservation online or give us a shout. We sit on the waterfront in Saint John with great entertainment and a big patio for fun all summer long!
