Caribbean Flavas Restaurant & Catering is a casual dining restaurant which has been influenced by many different cultures & cuisines- with many generations of recipes handed down. This project began as part of the UNB MBA entrepreneurship & BBA requirements based on ideas of Naz & his sisters Aziza & Azana. I have struggled in the past when trying to find somewhere in Fredericton that is really worth the money. After receiving excellent service, amazing food from quality ingredients, and just an overall easy dining experience. It is clear that Caribbean Flavas goes above and beyond to satisfy the customer, and i would recommended it to anyone, passing through, or just Fredericton locals.

I have tried just about every restaurant in Fredericton, and Caribbean Flavas blew me away! The service was fantastic, the restaurant itself had a unique and welcoming atmosphere, and the food was PHENOMENAL; everything from the coffee to the main course to the carrot cake afterwards greatly exceeded my expectations.
I work in an industry where I often get to recommend restaurants to people, and I will be sending people to Caribbean Flavas every chance I get.
10/10, will most definitely eat there again

My wife and I spent a night in Fredericton on vacation and decided to check this place out on recommendation. Let me tell you we were not disappointed! It's a quaint little spot with an open kitchen and Caribbean vibe. We had made reservations online which was super easy and were seated immediately upon arrival by whom I'm assuming was the owner. We had the option to order online beforehand, but decided to wait until we arrived. We both decided on the "Shark & Bake", a generous size piece of haddock topped with cucumber tamarind salsa served in a Caribbean Fried Bread on greens and served with curry potato wedges. Upon ordering we were asked, "how spicy do you want? Tickle, sweat or crying?" To which we both decided on "sweat". While we waited the owner struck up a conversation with us on spice levels in food which had us a little concerned we may have ordered a little too spicy, lol. He along with the rest of his staff were super friendly, had us laughing and made us feel at home. When our food arrived I started with a curry wedge which was served with some sort of crema sauce. I could of eaten a whole plate of just these wedges, DELICIOUS! I got two bites into the bake and thought am I in over my head with this heat level, but it was the perfect amount. The flavors along with the heat and freshness of the food is what made this dish. My wife and I both walked out of this place and both agreed that this was one of the best restaurant meals we had eaten in a long while. We both would highly recommend this place and will definitely return next time we're in town.

This restaurant has long been a favourite of my family. Because the restaurant's atmosphere is so inviting and special I had never considered Take Out service ... until now. The attention to detail on all protocols involving health and safety is exemplary. The ease of ordering online from their web site and the variety of the take out menu is excellent. The food, as always, was super. This business always delivers on excellent customer service, even during a pandemic. Kudos to the gang at 'Flavas.

We enjoyed our meal at Caribbean Flavas very much. The host is very welcoming and explained the menu and answered our questions. He is obviously very proud of his family restaurant and it shows. We had a number of things on the menu including the soup of the day, Caribbean stir fries, steak, and salads. The Blue Mountain coffee was excellent. No room for dessert. We had a nice chat with the chefs and staff at the end of the evening and will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

Excellent meal and fantastic host. The catch of the day, salmon with curry served with Basmati rice was superb. The atmosphere and decor have a nice Caribbean feel, an island get away right in the heart of Fredericton. Well worth discovering.

When we knew we were coming to Fredericton for the weekend, I did a quick search of caribbean style dining and this restaurant came up on my search. The previous reviews and the recommendation we received from our AirBnb host to dine here was enough for my husband and I to dine here our first night in the city. We love good Jamaican jerk chicken and are always on the search for what we tasted on our honeymoon 12 years ago (in Southern NB there are NOT a lot of caribbean restaurants)This one was the closest we've had to that yummy sweet and spicy kick of the Jerk chicken we enjoyed on the beach so many years ago.
You could tell that the family that runs this restaurant are close, they joked with each other and included us in too. The owner said they had been in their location for 19 years but it looked brand new, you can tell they take pride in keeping the dining area clean and tastefully decorated.
The only down side was they are not licensed, a cold Red Stripe would have been delicious good thing the virgin pina colada was just as refreshing.

Food and atmosphere were amazing: We couldn‘t decide what to take because everything sounded so delicious. Therefore we got several platters to share: Curry Chicken, BBQ Maple Beef Rib, Samosas, the Mum’s famous coconut bread together with a delicious caribbean fruit ice tea. The excellent food and warm atmosphere made our family evening perfect!

Good location , horrible operating hours. Disappointing, the food reminded me of Costco products that they heated up in their kitchen. Slow service , there were only 6 people in the restaurant and 4 of them were finished. The food flavor was almost non existent.
Their marketing was what I would call over selling the product.

Always a pleasure to dine at Flavas. Very welcoming host and staff, nice decor and excellent food. We opted for the ribs which were very meaty, marinated in Caribbean spices and delicious. The best we’ve ever had. Veggies and mashed potatoes also excellent. Made it to dessert this time, brownie with ice cream and macaroons. Portions very generous. U!Highly recommended

I live in the city of Fredericton and had heard many great things about Caribbean Flavas but had yet to take the plunge.
I finally did, taking my kids with me, and what a treat it was!
Not being familiar with Caribbean cuisine I opted to place my trust in our excellent host, Zi, for recommendations. I opted for a spicy dish (I believe it was duck) and was very happy with the main dish... To my surprise though my favorite parts were the vegetables! So so delicious they could serve as their own main course. I don't recall what my kids had but they were delighted with the results as well.
The deserts were decadent! :-)
The service was excellent and friendly. Attentive without being intrusive, along with sharing some jokes.
A thoroughly enjoyable experience and I would recommend them to anyone, especially for a date night out.

Amazing food and atmosphere! I've worked with Zi and staff to cater (off-site) and host a couple of business lunches, and they've been so welcoming and accommodating with our groups. We will be back and I encourage everyone to give them a try - they won't disappoint!

Wonderful! Nice little authentic and family restaurant, with charming decor. As soon as we walk in, the smell of spices makes us salivate. The service is very friendly, Z was very accommodating to our food preferences and adjusted the dishes accordingly. The spice level adapts according to the tolerance of each. Homemade iced tea is delicious, and the dishes are authentic and comforting. The coconut ice cream was really a perfect finish to this meal!

We have been going to this lovely spot for 15+ years. It is a staple for our family outings.
The food is top quality (chicken, lamb, Mama's coconut bread to name just a few) and the welcome is second to none. The owners are also very community minded and support local needs.

Grabbing a chicken roti for lunch here is always a highlight of my week! The owners and staff are very kind and friendly. They make me feel like part of their family :) Not too many places around here that bring the spice like CF does. They've earned my repeat business 100 times over. And if I need something a little more robust than a roti, their jerk chicken meal is second to none. Love Love Love!!!
