There is not a lot in this area so when staying at the Norwood hotel it is convenient to just go to the onsite restaurant. We ate there last month for supper and it was not very good. Worst French onion soup I have ever had. The waitress was just ok. We had to stay again this month and thought... More

Breakfast specials are a dime a dozen but this one is really great! Order when you are hungry, the plate is LARGE! Watch the time limit. Special price only until 10 am.

Visited this restaurant, and the attached "The Wood Tavern" six times over my stay, both due to convenience, but also having consistently good experiences. Their rib night (Tues/Wed) was an exceptional deal for some tasty and spicy fall-off-the-bone ribs at a very reasonable price. Wings and appetizers were very good as well for the most part, with the only disappointment... More

This restaurant is located in the Norwood Inn and so is very convenient when staying there. We had supper and was pleased with the selection and service. There is a breakfast special from Monday to Friday. They also service a good cup of coffee.

We had lunch at the Jolly Friar and quite enjoyed the atmosphere, the food and the service. The food is fresh, hot, and appealing. The service is excellent and the prices fair, for both food and service. You are not 'rushed' by the staff. The four of us each ordered something different: Beef Taco Salad, Chicken Quesadilla, Ribs, and Rueben... More

I attended a group function (20 plus people) on a Sunday night and thoroughly enjoyed the food I ordered: excellent fish and chips. It seems they share the same menu as The Jolly Friar - both are in the Norwood Hortel. One waitress took all the orders and served beverages for everyone in superb fashion! Large selection of beers both... More

Went with my daughter for a quick lunch--not fast food quick, but business lunch quick--certainly not to watch the two waitresses chat with each other while we waited first to be seated, then to have our order taken, then while our food cooled. Slow service was just the beginning. The food was almost inedible, but when we pointed this out... More

I was in the area and thought I'd stop in for breakfast. It was a Tuesday at about 9:50am. The cafe was packed, and I noticed the sign saying breakfast was on special til 10:00 at an awesome $4.99. I was very lucky to get my order in at the till by 10:00am, and then seated (as most tables were... More

My parents always stay at the Norwood when they visit from BC, and we've been very happy with the Jolly Friar until this trip. When we went there for dinner, all of our meals were cold, and about half of the ingredients (including tomato) were missing from my clubhouse. The waitress was very nice, though. On my parents' last morning... More
