Went here on a whim with a friend, knowing that I liked the mashed potatoes they serve at Festival. They had a prix fixe menu that my companion and I both tried. All of it was delicious. The roasted caesar salad had been roasted to sweetness. The boeuf bourguignon was tender with the complex flavours of a slow stew. Absolutely... More

Went for lunch with a group of travelers from the US. French onion soup was superb and traditional. The bison tourtiere which is basically a bison and pork meat pie served with gravy, salad and mash was exceptional. Would definitely go back. Traditional French bistro menu.

My mother's choice for a 95th birthday lunch was the Promenade Cafe on a Sunday. The Cafe made extra accommodation for a table by the window with a river view. Her quiche and salad was said to be excellent. My bison tourtière and salad was exceedingly good with the accompanying salad. The whipped potatoes were an unnecessary addition, in our... More

I learned that it was the Promenade's chef and team that was in command of the kitchen at Fort Gibraltar the day that I was at the Festival, and all I can say is WOW. I was there with family, and as the resident herbivore, I didn't expect to have much of a meal at the event. Boy was I... More

I had always wanted to try the Promenade Cafe in St. Boniface so my husband and I chose to go for a special occasion lunch. The food was excellent; we had French specialties and were delighted with them. The house wine was good as well, but the amount was not particularly generous. The waitress was friendly and helpful. The cafe's... More

A great selection for appetizers, casual lunch/dinner or fine dining entrees. The menu will meet your needs. Many options feature local ingredients. You can never go wrong with the true French Onion soup, or various banquettes. The 100 Mile Poulet (chicken) was incredible as was the salmon. Will return! The only negative is that depending when you go there, parking... More

Stopped by for lunch. Food choices were good. Had the french onion soup and clubhouse sandwich. While ordering, we just casually mentioned that we (my partner and I) would probably split the sandwich. The waitress brought out both portions separately plated, complete with fries. The quality of the food is very good, The serving staff was excellent and attentive. We... More

Having had dinner twice at this restaurant, I thought it would be a good place for lunch on a Saturday. Wrong. Despite having a reservation, we were literally stuck in a corner. The place was freezing. Other patrons were wearing coats and hats. No surprise. I later learned that part of the restaurant was actually heated and I'm not sure... More

What a great restaurant. Was there with 5 friends for Breakfast and had great food and great service. We spent a couple of hours eating and chatting and at no time were we rushed or kicked out. They take reservations which is great for a group. Highly recommend

Was early for an appointment and decided to have breakfast, nice surprise! Homemade cooking at its finest and at a really great price! Checked out the lunch menu and it looked very interesting as well with many Manitoba specialties. Will come back for sure.
