My meal was really delicious, the soup of the day was fantastic and my sandwich was delicious! But my husband wasn't lucky, his Coq au vin, the chicken was dull and without wine, then he asked for French Fries instead of smashed potatoes, but they didn't did change, when they brough the French Fries they were dark, not looking nice.... Our tour group stopped at Promenade Cafe for lunch. It was a pleasant surprise. The food was delicious, especially the dessert. Ample seating area and good service.

Often you go to a restaurant, are impressed and when you go back you are disappointed. That is not the case here. The service was as good as before, the food excellent. I must say I was willing to try the tourtiere. If you try this dish, be aware that there is a strong taste of cloves. I was very... More

Fell across this delightful French cafe and had a wonderful lunch. Hubby had his first Boeuf Bourgignon and I had their Gnocchi in red pepper sauce with tourtiere. Absolutely delicious. Also had a nice wine. The service was perfect and server super nice. Really a great meal.

Very nice find close to the river. Good wine list and delicious food. Service was very good too. Had beef burguinon and was great. Prices were very reasonable. Give it a try.

We found this quaint restaurant by chance. It was my birthday and we wanted to check out the area of St. Boniface. We arrived at past 1pm so we were already hungry, and there it was right across us the Promenade Cafe and Wine Restaurant! The restaurant looked so inviting so we decided to try it. After all,it was also my... More

Has now become our family spot for Breakfast ! Never a disappointment...the Smoked salmon Benedict is made with a smoked salmon fillet, tender and meaty. The pan fries are wonderfully seasoned and skillet fried. Coffee is always hot and fresh, and service attentive and friendly.

After spending four hours at the National Museum for Human Rights this was the perfect place for a late lunch. Enjoyed the view of the museum and the bridge from our window as we sipped our wine and savoured our lunch. A salmon criossant and borscht soup, quite tasty home made soup for my husband and quiche florentine and salad... More

This breakfast is probably one of the best kept secrets in the city. Eight bucks for 2 eggs (Vita, by the way,) real potatoes chopped & flat-topped to golden loveliness; thick multi-grain toast with choice of jam or marmalade, & a country sausage (beef & pork) that has more flavour than any so-called "breakfast sausage". The constantly refilled excellent mug... More
