Grab a seat by the window or a patio table and you will not be disappointed. Service is good the menu is varied and the people watching opportunities are amazing. We have been here many times and our favourite menu items are the butternut squash ravioli in a curry cream sauce (and I am NOT a vegetarian) the Scotch eggs,... More

I have been going to the Kings Head since the early 90's, so of course I went by on a return visit to Winnipeg. To my horror the server said they don't serve Guinness anymore but some crappy knock off. Being that this is a pub, not having Guinness is ridiculous. Other then that the beer menu was decent and... We haven't been there for a long time, as we live out of town; we came in for an evening drink, and decided to sit out on the patio. The street had some traffic mid-week, but that's expected for the location. "Fort Garry" brand dark beer on tap (I would highly recommend if you like dark beer) and the butter... More

I was stunned by this place. I usually avoid 'English' and 'Irish' pubs abroad like the Plague, but went here as our nephew from Winnipeg recommended it....and I admit it's great! Good range of beers, reasonably priced if you drink local brews (well done to the barman who warned in advance Strongbow cost $13), two dart boards, a pool table,... More

I eat at the Kings Head on a very frequent basis. The food is excellent especially given the low price point. My wife has the curry butternut ravioli every time. I roam the menu more and my favourite is the chicken Cajun pasta. The staff are very attentive to your needs and the patio has a great vibe. I wish... More

I thought this pub would be all about beer - but they have amazing Indian food!! The Butter Chicken Poutine should be something you order!! It is really tasty. Negatives: super duper loud (as in, you have to scream to be heard by people sitting right across from you ) and the wait staff messed up orders and didn't seem... More

a happy place to sit back and have a drink after a long day. Or just to have a bite to eat(the fries are amazing).

We ate outdoors on the patio since it was such a beautiful day. The food was absolutely delicious, the price reasonable, and the service top notch. I would highly recommend based on the food. The only downside was it was a smoking patio which we didn't notice at first. Very disappointing as most tables had smokers sitting at them. Without... More

We were at the Yellow Dog eating great Perogies when we asked the waitress her choice of the next pub stop. She suggested the King's Head. It did not disappoint. MacKenzie from Strathroy On took great care of us. The bar had great atmosphere, the staff were fantastic and we will have great memories of the friendliness of Winnipegers.

I love anything British and wanted to come see this place, plus they had good reviews. Well, it's definitely a pub, and a British one because of the flags and banners, etc. (not sure what I was expecting). But the server and bartender - Main Day - was super friendly and helpful. I was trying to decide on a hard... More
