Today we enjoyed coffee and pastries at Tall Grass Prarie's Forks location. The whole wheat cinnamon bun (hot and fresh) did not disappoint.

They have really good cinnamon buns, scones and croissants. It's also in a nice venue - - the Forks Market building, at the very popular site, The Forks, at the junction of Winnipeg's two rivers. They also grow organically the grains they use and mill it right on site. They also press their own sunflower oils from their seeds right... More

This place is an absolute "must" for any foodie! I have had some pretty lousy cheese sticks over the years but this place delivers fantastic freshness and awesome chewy bite. Whoa! We also absolutely enjoyed the the cinnamon bun, the empire cookie and last but not least their tea. Even honey is available for those who enjoy their tea with... More

There are all kinds of baked goods and breads to choose from. The thing I love best is how this bakery incorporates local, seasonal ingredients. For example, you can often find fresh saskatoons, rhubard, or blueberries put into their pies, muffins, or scones. That's pretty special because a lot of people don't even know where to find saskatoons when they... More

I Drive all the way across the city and buy these buns, they are the best. If you have not tried one yet, it is ridiculous that you haven't....Get there now. They have all kinds of fresh organic bread and muffins, etc. This place is magnificent. I am here multiple times a month>

There are so many delicious items to choose from, but my favorite is the bannock with saskatoon berry jam in the middle, like a little bun sandwich!

By far one of the best experiences we had in Winnipeg. Fresh daily bread, cinnamon sticky buns and wonderful healthy sandwiches. A must do.

They are famous for their baking for a very well earned reason, but their cinnamon buns are whole wheat, home made and very difficult to say no to, even when you went for a noon hour run, and only entered the Forks to use the washroom facilities. Yup, guilty, I made a pit stop for a cinnamon bun! Who can... More

Tall Grass Prairie has the best cinnamon buns in the country. This is a don't miss stop when you are in Winnipeg. If you don't like cinnamon buns for some reason, the cookies and breads are fantastic. You can watch the bakers preparing bread through a large window. This is very entertaining if you arrive at the right time to... More

I cannot get over those cinnamon buns! Always so fresh and moist. Prices are fairly cheap. Staff are always so friendly. They also have some type of pizza bread that is delicious.
