Good food. Great service although it was during Christmas season. Hospitiality was great. The manager served us himself and made sure everything was there on the spot. He even spoke to us & wished us a Merry Christmas. Friendly atmosphere.

I visit this restaurant every month or two to have brunch with extended family. It has never been a disappointment unless it is a too busy, and it is almost always a well served and tasty meal

Just visited again and tried another menu item. (Was told that they no longer serve the meat pie). I tried the grilled chicken from the Senior's menu for $10.99 (drink and limited choice of desert included!) The grilled chicken was hot and tasty. My choice of potato was mashed (the real stuff) with gravy. The meal came with grilled veggies... More

Had a very enjoyable lunch here the other day. Lots of choices (and I mean LOTS) but my friend suggested the Meat Pie. The Meat Pie (with gravy) came with choice of potato (I had a type of tiny potato "pancakes") and coleslaw. I took advantage of the "Wednesday special" so added on a drink for 99 cents and a... Great food, great service and great value! Something old fashioned in today's world! Good price! Those grilled cinnamon buns look so good! Excellent coffee! Love the Nip. Always visit when in Winnipeg!

We were in Winnipeg in Sept 2013 and, as usual, wanted a Sal's breakfast "fix". At this location, we got superior service (watch your back Sal's Crossroads location....) and the usual excellent food. Whatever your choice of main, I recommend the shredded hash-browns which are a tradition for me. Maybe even my #1 comfort food. The cashier was slightly distracted... More

The coffee is not that great (if you are a coffee lover) , but you can ask for tea or other drinks. They have an interesting and delicious strawberry smoothie. We even got deal coupons to see the Goldeneyes play at Shaw Park/discounted seats for a home game.

My husband & I had a craving for Sals after reading an article in the Free Press regarding their new Xpress concept. I've been going to Sals since I was a young girl growing up in Winnipeg in the 60's. Their nips with the fried onions is hard to beat. Our waitress Jazmine had a great smile, was extremely friendly,... More
