Four of us from work went for lunch. It was not busy at all, maybe 5 tables with customers. The service was horrible, had to get my own water refill, coworker ordered salad and burger, got fries and server insisted she ordered fries. Food also took a long time to come.
Then I had to bring my food to the bar to get a take home container.
Two were splitting my meal as it was a celebration, server couldn't split the bill.
Very slow service, not great service, but food was excellent; taste and quantity.

Went for dinner with my wife, had a great steak and shrimp dinner on the Dine About menu but never got the appetizer. Loved the spacious tables, loved not being jam packed into tiny spaces! Were given the time and space to enjoy a couple glasses of wine before eating. Loved the casual environment. Bar orders were correct, wine was ok. Bathrooms were clean. Would definitely go back.

Couple of us went out for supper and each of us got a different burger. Food was really good. Decent service and nice atmosphere. Would recommend people to find this place and try it out.

My husband and I decided to go to this restaurant to try the 3 course Dine About Winnipeg menu. We each had a bowl of the Creamy Broccoli soup and it was amazing, one of the better soups I've ever had. Then we both had the Chicken Bruschetta, it was very good. For dessert my husband had the Blueberry and Lemon Curd Cheesecake, I tasted it as well and we were both truly impressed. I had the Matilda Chocolate Cake. When the waitress (very helpful, friendly, gave great service) brought it over my eyes must have almost popped out of my head; saying this was a large piece of cake is an understatement. On top of being huge it was delicious. For $29 we thought this was a great value meal. We've decided we will be back to try out the regular menu.

Came here to kick off a friend's bachelor party. We had a reservation on the patio, but found out on arrival that the patio was closed "due to vandalism" (we couldn't see any evidence of this, and it seemed the patio was probably closed due to lack of staffing).
We ordered food and drinks inside. Menu items sounded great, but nearly everyone was disappointed with their dishes all around. Beer and liquor selection was poor. Our server was actually pretty good, but seemed to be the only staff member in the entire place, which is huge and was nearly empty on a weekend evening.

Went by after a matinee for an early dinner. We ordered three of the shareable items - pulled pork tacos pickerel tacos and roasted Brussels sprouts. I frequently order Brussels sprouts when we are out. One of life’s little joys that they have become fashionable and are often available. They are also often pretty blah, but not at the Saddlery. These likely the best I’ve had from a restaurant. They were different, being separated into leaves and charred then seasoned. All together very satisfying and a large sized portion for the price. In fairness I could write much the same about both tacos. The pickerel was crisp and hot with no trace of greasiness and the flavor was spot on. The soft shells were lightly toasted and supported the flavors without adding any off notes and the spice while a bit hot for one of us was perfect for me. Fresh greens complemented the fish as did the sauce. The pulled pork tacos like their pickerel cousins were well balanced with each aspect contributing but not overwhelming the smoked pulled pork. A definite taste of smoke well balanced with the greens and sauce made them another excellent choice. Service was good but a pre evening theatre rush slowed things down as we were finishing. It was too much for the 2 front staff and they struggled to balance finishing up we few early ones with serving others. I’ll plan to be back. L

Do not let the giant, sometimes empty dining room put you off! It is not the "it's empty, therefore probably horrible" sign. The Saddlery is very busy doing business as a wedding venue and is plenty packed during pre-MTC and concert hall events.
I've eaten lunch here twice in the last two months, and both times were perfect. Great food, attentive service, and at a reasonable price. The menu has something for everyone. Today's pickerel tacos were crunchy, fresh, with just the right amount of fish, cabbage and spicy sauce. Last month, I had the crispy Brussels sprouts and they were so good, I had to take some more home today.
Give this place a try! You will be glad you did.

Jack served me and he is amazing best and most organized waiter I have ever see. Food is excellent and fast. I was going to my granddaughters dance recital. Great place go before the concert. Loved it 🥰

Great location for a pre-theatre dinner. Pub food with good portion sizes and very tasty. Nice to have an option near MTC with reasonable prices.

Three of us did the dineaboutwinnipeg menu....the salad was nice but had the wrong type of dressing, the chicken was cooked nicely but no flavour to the chicken, vegetables or mashed potatoes, someone with no cooking skills could have made this...deserts were good...my friend had the steak and prawns, again a good cook on it but no flavour...sorry this was a very bland meal I would not serve to anyone...certainly not a way to showcase your restaurant and expect a repeat visit

Went there before the symphony on a Saturday evening. Friendly staff and nice decor. Got served fairly quickly with our drinks. I had a cocktail that was really good. The food however was ok. My husband had French Onion soup and I had the Caesar Salad and they were nothing special, the bread in the soup was mush. My steak sandwich was not cooked to my liking (medium well) so I sent it back. I for a new steak that was still not done the way I like, more medium, however I decided to eat it anyway. Half way through it tasted burnt so I turned it over and it was completely charred on the backside. I pointed this out to my server and they took my meal off the bill. My husband had ribs and Cajun chicken, large portion, good ribs, good coleslaw, liked the shoestring fries. The Cajun chicken had way too much spice. Prices were a bit high for the quality of food.

When I walked Into this restaurant at noon and saw it was empty, that should have been a sign. Food was cold and not very good. Will not be back.

We hosted a get-together at Saddlery to celebrate the retirement of a colleague. We hosted the gathering having little idea of how many people would actually be attending as many of the invitees were from out of town and in Winnipeg for a conference, and we weren't sure how far and wide the invites would travel! The general manager, Roula, was awesome to work with. She offered to stay open late on a day they usually close earlier (our party wasn't starting until 9pm), was super flexible with all the uncertainty (we estimated between 25 and 50 people), quickly responded to all of my questions, and offered a set-up for the room that would work best for what we wanted (to mingle and have drinks). The best part is that we were able to reserve an AWESOME private space for free!!! It was a beautiful room and the service was fantastic, despite having more than 50 people show up! Thank you so much Saddlery on Market!

A group of ten of us went here for lunch and the service was just atrocious. At first I was happy that there was no one else there on a Friday, but then quickly realized that it didn’t matter. It took them forever to get our drinks orders, then another ten minutes to get our food orders. Took a good half an hour for the food to come and then we had to pretty much hunt them down for the bill. I mean, clearly, it was a work lunch and with so many offices in that area you would they’d know better than to be super slow. I guess maybe that’s why no one else was there because they all knew this already.
The food wasn’t bad actually which is unfortunate because I would have come back for their food, but never again!
