Not kidding, it looks like a run down, questionable joint, but trust me- the fish and chips are literally the best. My family has been going here for over 20+ years. The batter is thin and the fish is juicy and flakey. The fries are so addicting! Tartar is bomb! Must I go on? Try it. It will change your... More

Coney Island had been my go to place for fish and chips since 1980 - until last summer. Over those years there have been three owners, that I'm aware of, and Mike has been in charge for about the last 20 years. The quality of the halibut and fries had remained consistent over all those years and I highly recommended... More

It's been a long while since I tried Coney Island, so one rainy night, I thought I would take out their halibut & chips. Large pieces of fish, but as the fish was so thin and had so much batter, I'm not convinced it was halibut. Halibut is usually a much more chunky fish, but this was more like skinny... More

Having lived in the UK for Thirty odd years I was raised on greasy fish and chips and was surprised when we emigrated to Canada how much better fish and chips tasted here. For many years really enjoyed the Halibut and Chips of C Lovers but following our move to White Rock four years ago we are converts to Coney... More

Stopped in last night for 2 piece Halibut and chips at $23. Halibut tasted like rockcod or some other fish. Dry and chewy. Terrible. Would never go back again.

Stopped by here on our way home to Vancouver after a long road trip. It was 2:00 on a weekend day and pretty quiet on the strip so parked the car and hopped out near 3 - 4 fish and chip joints. Just chose Coney Island randomly. So glad we did. If you want value and good fish and chips,... More

This is hands down the best fried fish out. Its is superbly cooked and coated in just the right amount of batter. No it is not the thick brown overcooked stuff where you have to hunt out the fish. It is the finer dining of fish and chips. For some or other reason, and perhaps its the decor, but I... More

If we want fish & chips on the beach, Coney Island is the only take-out we go to. They have the best halibut in White Rock. Everyone says Moby Dick's is the best but they obviously haven't eaten at Coney!

Very good service. Decided to drop in on a week day so it wasn't as busy. Server was very attentive. We had a very young grandson with us and they were very accommodating and helpful. Went there for fish (halibut) and chips. Normally very good, but this time the fish seemed a little dry - over cooked?? A little disappointed,... More

We went here today at opening around noon and shared a 2 piece cod fish n chips. The pieces of fish are large and the chips were freshly cut. Both tasted very fresh. Just have to remember to ask for lemon wedges the next time. We ate in but next time will do take out instead and sit on the... More
