Have had fish and chips here before, but recent visit was not good. Fish was soggy, no nice crisp batter, chips...maybe about 10 of them, coldslaw was cabbage and a couple strands of carrot with mayo. Redeeming factor...waitress was good.

Was hesitant after reading reviews. We phoned our order in. We arrived a little early so that it would not sit waiting for us. They said it would be ready in three minutes. Perfectly time for our pick up time of 5pm. THe young girl at the tail was cheerful and friendly. The food was hot and crisp. It was... More

Really disappointed in the quality of food and portion size at the White Rock Salty's restaurant compared to the Salty's in Cloverdale. We both ordered a seafood platter which had cod, shrimp, calamari, scallops and fries. The calamari was so over fried, really brown, crisp, hard, you couldn't even eat it. Yuck. The scallops were the size of the tip... More

We have take-out halibut and homemade chips about twice a month and each time, the quality of the food is excellent. The staff are cheerful. Of course, they offer other fish as well but we always choose the halibut.

Originally I loved this place but the last time here was a disaster! When we walked in the young girl behind the counter (with a attitude than we had interrupted her) said "What do you want" When I answered "Food would be nice" we were pointed to a table. Menu given once asked for. One minute later she was there... More

Salty's is an established hole in the wall (no offence intended) in White Rock. Been here seems like forever. Fisn n' chips is the staple and they offer several varieties including cod, haddock, halibut & salmon. On our most recent visit we split the 2 piece cod. More than adequate for 2 people. Hot, tasty and about what you would... More

We had a hankering for good ol' fashioned halibut and chips on a Friday night and this place exactly met our expectations. The food was quick, ample, lightly-battered, tasty and satisfying. The restaurant is clean, suitably decorated and conveniently located a block off White Rock's main commercial intersection - 16 and 152. We'd go back without hesitation, and we will.

I have seen some negative reviews on Salty's on Trip Advisor but my experience has been all positive. Three colleagues along with myself went there for an early dinner last Saturday and we all left with very positive comments on the food, the service and that the cost was really reasonable. Two of us had the halibut and chips and... More

So I've been to a lot of different restaurants, but none were as bad as this. We went up to order our food, we asked for 4 orders of fish and chips, a hot dog and 2 milks. They gave us 1 order of fish and chips, a hamburger, and no milk, yet still charged us for what we actually... More

Not much else to say that filkfam didn't say previous......except that the waitresses were very pleasant and attentive. But remember flour and water glue that you used to make as a kid? Well that's the batter used to coat the fish. Zero flavor. No joke, not stretching the truth at all. Wasn't cooked enough either, that's actually how I discovered... More
