Yes the food is expensive and yes the food is of high quality and in balance with the price, but portions are not ok. We had starters and main courses and left with hunger to get a dessert else where. Maybe if you took the 5 courses meal you would have enough to eat but even my wife who is... More

Our daughter, a foodie, selected Alta Bistro, for its ambiance, menu and reasonable prices. She hit a home run. Our cassoulet of chorizo and smoked chicken with krispy kale and spinach dust was excellent. The piping hot plates were appreciated so we could serve ourselves from the bowl and maintain the dishes' warmth. Our son in law's wagyu beef and... More

We ate here on our first night in Whistler and are so glad we chose the Alta Bistro. We ate on the patio and had a wonderful three course meal. The staff is friendly and they know their food. Give it a try!

Made reservations. Arrived and had to wait 15 minutes for our table. Poor selection of beer. Service was slow and the food was terrible ( heavy sauces that didn't work). We would not go back again.

We went to Alta Bistro for their tasting menu last week and it was amazing!! My partner and I sat at the bar and were served by Gina, she was the best! Made us some really tasty cocktails with fresh blueberries and of course I had to have an old fashion. We we couldn't decide on our appies so we... More

We didn't book but were lucky enough to get a table. We chose the set menu for $25 and were not disappointed. Really unusual dishes but absolutely delicious. The wine is not cheap, but since the food was excellent value we couldn't complain!

My husband booked a table on the weekend for our relaxing get away. The restaurant bases its menu on what is locally available and then makes a set menu you can choose from. First time trying such a restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised. Although the restaurant seemed small our table was not over crowded. The food was excellent. I... More

We had a fantastic meal at Alta Bistro. The food was both interesting and tasty - and the prix fixe helped keep the prices reasonable.

Interesting, fresh, delicious! This is more than a place to eat, it's an experience! Our party of ten tried the full range of menu items (lots of new things for us) and enjoyed it all. A great deal of thought, skill and care is put into this restaurant and it shows.
