Locally inspired cuisine set in a casual bistro atmosphere. Chef Nicholas Cassettari combines his classic training, top tier experience, and world travels with the best of B.C.'S bounty to create the fine flavours at Alta Bistro. Service is casual and prompt in the dining room and bar. The wine list is French focused, with the best of B.C. As well as international selections (many by the glass) with Enomatic machines dispensing fine and eclectic selections to pair with Alta's cuisine. Mixologists behind our bar craft some of Whistler's finest cocktails. The cozy bistro atmosphere is lively and welcoming. Reservations are a must.

Unfortunately we did not eat here as we came across it on our way home from dinner on our last day in whilstler however we did have a delicious glass of wine at their bar and enjoyed soaking up the atmosphere. The staff were very...More
Our family of three dined at this outstanding restaurant. The comfortable, farm to table feel, the reserved and kind servers and outstanding food make it my favorite. The house salad was one of the best salads I have ever eaten! The lemon vinaigrette, varied types...More

We’re always looking for new places in Whistler to add to our list of favorites and this was our discovery last year. Everything was great. Service, friendly staff, interesting food and drink. Overall enjoyable dining experience. We’ll be back next year!

It was 12 of us (5 adults and 7 teenagers). The place is nice and service is great but the food was average. If you charge for bread, bring it out warm. The bison pork burger was dry. A juicy black angus burger could win...More
I had the beef shank dinner. It was delicious and there were many flavors from sweet and/or spicy to savory. I liked the crunchy caramelized leaf garnish. The red wine they recommended was excellent. I’d recommend it for a unique restaurant with lots of interesting...More
A hidden gem in the heart of Whistler village. When I walked in to the restaurant it looked like many other of the good restaurants Whistler has to offer. However, when you look at the menu, you get the sense something exciting is going on...More
