We ate here immediately after getting off the ferry. The tempura battered halibut was outstanding. Their soup of the day was coconut Marsala curry and was fabulous. The chips (fries for those of us from the US) were just okay. The next day we tried Barb's fish and chips at the Fisherman's Wharf. Their chips were better, but their batter... More

The line was indeed 40 minutes long but it was a beautiful day. The fellow taking our order said it was that way all the time. I found the fries tasty and crisp. Soft drinks are available in cups without ice but bottled drinks (like cream soda) can be purchased as well. The fish was juicy and flavorful, with just... More

In a city well known for its Fish and Chips this place lives up to the expectation. The Fish and Chips were some of the best I have ever had in my travels. The real treat for me though was the deep fried pickles. By far the best I have ever found in Canada so far.

Always good! This is a busy, unassuming outdoor food stall on the harbor. Fish is sustainable and the freshest in town. Great menu, economical, fast friendly staff. The downside? Not a lot of seating. And the queues, which can be long, especially around lunch hour, but which attest to ts popularity. Keep doing what you're doing, Red Fish, Blue Fish!

Every time I come to Victoria I make a point to stop at Red Fish Blue Fish for lunch as their food has been consistently good over the years. I often find myself back home and wishing I could get something similar! It is a outdoor stall type restaurant and yes the queues are almost always long because of the... More

Great food / selection and price. Fish is always from sustainable species. Easy and nice to watch the staff prepare your order . Very easy to access.

The food itself is classic West Coast and while it's nice to support local I would leave the West Coast experience for tourists since the wait times and lineups at this location make the whole experience less enjoyable.

I've wanted to try this restaurant, and on this last trip, I did. I ordered the halibut fish and chips and the reviews are right - probably the best fried fish I've had in a long time. The chips were British-style and the cole slaw was a little too tart for my tastebuds, but still a wonderful experience. The ambiance... More

Passed by it twice because of the long line ups. We went early on a Tuesday, line moved fastened even though there were lots of locals getting it to go. Fish was excellent!!

We'd highly recommend this spot for a meal when in Victoria. It's fun, solid food and nice view. We think overall this place is a great experience to try. We love their ahi tuna salad. Note this place is popular so there is almost always a line. We'd also note that their service was great. We appreciated not being rushed... More
