Two of my friends along with my parents and I went to the pub for dinner on a Friday night. The service and food were really great! BC salmon... mmm! The music was playing but not overpowering so we were able to talk and the round, family-style tables are great for groups.

Wonderful Pub right in downtown Victoria. I make it habit to come here every time I'm in Victoria. The décor is absolutely beautiful. Large food menu with lots of choices. I would recommend the Shepherds Pie or Mac & Cheese and you can't go wrong with the Fish & Chips. The service is great and the staff are wonderful. Great... More

We were lucky enough to eat here when a new band, calling themselves the "Irish Time Machine Boys" or something similar, were performing. It was fun to watch the performance and enjoy an Irish beer and meal. I recommend the crab bisque - very yummy.

Great place, beautifully decorated, very clean, great selection of beers, fast and courteous service. Menu included selections from an English pub to an American brew pub, food was great. Please open one of these in my home town!

Stopped in for lunch. This downtown Victoria pub has a great atmosphere. Service was fast and friendly. The servers were wearing kilts, girls and guys! I had the Shepherd's pie which was delicious. Initially I thought the serving was a bit on the small side but found I actually struggled to finish it. I was a little surprised that it... More

Been here before. It's very Irish themed and has a fabulous selection of whiskeys and a good range ogee Irish beers (why?-I'm a Belfast boy and one of the greatest things about leaving BFS is not having to drink Harp). We always have a wee chuckle in the Irish Times because there is also a Scottish theme going on with... More

I was in a bit of a rush and this was the closest place. Very friendly staff and super quick service. Nothing like an Irish pub to bring your mood up to the next level. Tons of beer on tap too. Could have stayed there all afternoon.

Being a Victorian, I like to meet friends at local pubs and restaurants often. I have stopped in here twice now and although I have found the service and friendliness of the staff very good.....the food quite yummy (try the potato pizza!!).... and recommendations on different beers spot on.......it is truly WAY too expensive!! Last weekend I stopped in for... More

We like pub food and an atmosphere in pubs that reminds us of being in the UK. Irish Times has both, along with friendly wait-people, live music, and a central location. Having only four nights in Victoria, we chose to eat here twice and would certainly do so again.

Welcome to the Irish Times Pub, where excellent design and authenticity are at the heart of downtown Victoria"s most exciting new pub!

Located at 1200 Government Street, the Irish Times Pub is home to 190 seats over two floors with 80 seats available on our patios, opening onto both Government Street and historic Bastion Square.

Our concept goes far beyond mere architecture though. The Irish Times opened with everything it takes to make a pub successfully Irish, including authentic Live Irish music, 7 nights each week.

The tradition of Ireland has also been extended to our menu, which has been developed on a philosophy of creating traditional Irish food and drink that is both contemporary and funky, showcasing Irish Pub Food as you would see in Ireland today.
