We had read about this place before we left on our trip but kinda stumbled upon it, checked out the cocktail menu and decided to stay. The building is beautiful and l love looking around it. Service was great the first day, we had drinks: A Manhattan 9.50, a 7 oz. glass of wine 12.00, a peach smash 9.25 and... More

I love the architecture of this old building! The food selection is vast, the fish and chips are excellent. Service is great! The waitresses wear cute little, and I mean "little" kilts. They have live music on the weekends, so it gets a bit packed. Had a wonderful time!

Absolutely the best food in the Irish pub style (shepherd's pie, bangers and mash, etc.) Fabulous setting. Good service.

We ate here Christmas Eve because, well, because it was open. We're lucky we did. It was packed and most of the accents were authentic Irish so we think the ex-pat community must like it. Entertainment was great, service was friendly and efficient, and the food was delicious. Potato and bacon sounded so weird, but it is truly a tasty,... More

Went there New Year's Day with friend as they were hosting an event Pancake and PJ hangover event.... what.a.disaster. The place was packed with ppl...servers could not keep up. They were not allowed to take food orders for an hour while we were there... they ran out of pancakes at the pancake event.... pretty sure bulk barn is across the... More

Irish poutine was incredible! Live music, not too busy/not too dead, Sommersby ~ Denmark (not too sweet or bitter cider/just right), & Italian sausage thin cut pizza.

The service was good and food just ok, but the length of those waitresses' skirts were uncomfortably short! 2 inches longer and these outfits would be classy but instead the girls look like they are 'role playing' in another profession, and their awkward positioning to keep things covered made it worse! Compared to the men's kilts that fall below the... More

I can't speak to the food in this place, but it's a great atmosphere to have beer with friends! Service is friendly and I like seeing the staff in kilts.

I had the Scotch egg is deep fried or burnt until black every time. Disgusting. Pub food. Nothing special. It used to be a good place to eat up until a couple years ago.

Description
Welcome to the Irish Times Pub, where excellent design and authenticity are at the heart of downtown Victoria"s most exciting new pub!

Located at 1200 Government Street, the Irish Times Pub is home to 190 seats over two floors with 80 seats available on our patios, opening onto both Government Street and historic Bastion Square.

Our concept goes far beyond mere architecture though. The Irish Times opened with everything it takes to make a pub successfully Irish, including authentic Live Irish music, 7 nights each week.

The tradition of Ireland has also been extended to our menu, which has been developed on a philosophy of creating traditional Irish food and drink that is both contemporary and funky, showcasing Irish Pub Food as you would see in Ireland today.
