While visiting Victoria B.C., my wife made a reservation for the two of us at the “White Heather Tea Room” for High Tea. What a nice surprise! This was my first experience having High Tea and I now know it won’t be my last. We ordered the “Big Muckle Giant Tea for Two”. The impressive selection of tea sandwiches, tasty... More

The White Heather Tea room never disappoints. Had a wonderful lunch the other day.tucked away in Oak Bay it's a favourite of locals and visitors alike. They have great soups and lunch specials. We enjoyed a decadent chicken and mushroom crepe with salad. Four young women beside us ordered the big muckle. It looked amazing! What a celebration. Three tiers... More

This is a popular spot with the local Oak Bay residents, and a reservation is recommended. The restaurant is charming with around 14 tables for 2 or 4. We were greeted promptly and seated. Our server Jeanne, was very pleasant and told us the "specials" of the day. My girlfriend and I both decided on the Seafood Crepe. She chose... More

The White Heather was recommended to us by a friend several years ago, but it wasn't until yesterday that my husband and I finally had a chance to experience this delightful tea room. We've had tea at the Empress on several occasions as well as at the Butchart Gardens, and this was every bit as good. The tea room is... More

Went for tea with my daughter. We had the Mad Hatter tea and the Big Muckle Giant tea (we had to take the desserts to go!). Food was definitely home-made and the experience reminded me of tea with my grandma. The room has about 12 tables and reservations are strongly recommended. It is not the Empress but is more friendly... More

We have had tea at The Empress several times, but thought it was time to try something else. Tea here was a delight. We ordered the Big Muckle, but we took several pieces with us as it was a lot of food. It was boxed up nicely by our server. The service was excellent and the food was delicious and... More

First: I always begin searching reviews (of anything) by looking at the worst ones first, and if few, I find they're usually old or petty complaints by folks who apparently can't be pleased. In this case I find the most of the few poor reviews to be in those categories--and the "terribles" are word-for-word identical, posted 6 months apart. But... More

Took my family including my 3 year old to the White Heather Tea room for High Tea in August of 2008. Most amazing food and wonderful atmosphere. Waitstaff was attentive and very kind to my 3 year old. Highly recommend if your go to Victoria and want a delicious non -"stuffy" tea experience. Make sure to make reservations and go... More

Reasonably priced & very good afternoon tea. Cute little dining spot. Nice to know you're not being gouged.

We wanted to experience Tea in Victoria, but did not want to do the typical tea at the Empress, our doorman at the Grand Pacific suggested the White Heather in Oak Bay as a place were locals would go. He was soooo right. The tea, we split the $50 for two. (sound expensive, but worth it) There are three levels... More
