Large group. That could be a problem given this place doesn't take reservations - you line up and await the doors which open at ~5:30pm. I got there just after 4:30 and was the only one in the line until just before 5:00. Service for...More

Ambiance is a little scarce, but perhaps that's the intention; a little French minimalist. Steak was great, but my friend, much to his disappointment, who also ordered the same had a much smaller cut than mine. A received a centre cut from the loin and...More

Four of of us, with fingers crossed, went to Brasserie L'Ecole hoping for a table (they do not take reservations). We were in luck and enjoyed a truly French dining experience. Starting with a wonderful French bubbly, we enjoyed appetizers including Medjool dates stuffed with...More

Spent a lovely evening in this restaurant - yep, it's a pain that they don't take bookings, so just plan on going earlier and having a drink at a local brewpub while you wait. Not difficult! Dates stuffed with Roquefort & walnuts were moorish. The...More

We lined up at 5:00 pm to ensure that we could get the 5:30 seating, as the restaurant only has room for 40 persons. However the day was nice. As everyone is ordering at once, and being admitted altogether, service is a little sporadic, and...More

Fine dining at mid-range prices. Perfectly executed dishes are nicely presented. Lacks pretension, has quality and charm in abundance.

SO I've been to a brasserie or two in my 38 years and this is exactly the experience I want every time. We had a big brunch about 8 hours earlier, but had walked over every last inch of Victoria on a 24 hour hour...More

Great service, great selection and of course great food. I didn't find $17 too much to ask for an appetizer bowl of our local Salt Spring Island Moules...very reasonable. Good portions. I had the trout and it was killer.

Small and dark restaurant, service is good, menu is expensive, we were expecting it to be but quite frankly you get very little for what you pay, for example a $38 steak comes with nothing but the steak and a small bowl of chewy overdone...More

No valet parking. You have to park on the street or in the parking near by. Also you have to be there early for the first seating at 5.30pm or you will have to wait until 7.00 pm next seating. No reversation taken.
