We were walking around Chinatown at 11pm to eat (very late), and the only open restaurant we found was this.... suprisingly a french restaurant! !! The wiaters were nice and I was happy it was open this late!!! Great food, nice small place.

After arriving in Victoria on a sunny Saturday afternoon and then taking in all of the sites by bike, we made the mistake of going a little too long before realizing it was time to eat dinner (after 9pm). We strolled around downtown/Chinatown to see if anything called to us and happened upon Brasserie L'ecole. The dimly lit, cozy dining... More

This is an odd review, as I have not been able to eat here. They don't take reservations and every time I try to eat here it is too busy to get in and I am not interested in lining up and waiting, while my babysitter's clock is ticking away at $20/hr. This place needs to get over itself and... More

First time at this establishment and we were very happy with our choice! We arrived on a weekday (wife's birthday) at 5:30, & "lucky" to get a couple of seats at the bar. Restaurant was completely seated. Our bartender/ server was first class with his service & assistance regarding the menu. We both went with the French Onion soup ("best... More

This was the last food stop in our tour Victoria it was worth the wait. The menu changes daily, which ensures that the food is fresh and full of passion. We share the French onion soup and the octopus salad. The octopus it's perfectly cooked just fthe right amount of tenderness and crisp accompanied by caramelized onions, cherry tomatoes and... More

We started with Roquefort stuffed dates and shared an endive salad which was more than enough for two people. Enjoyed the sirloin steak frites - generous portions, high quality beef and classic French flavors. Friendly and attentive service. We arrived just before 5:30pm on a weeknight for an early dinner; there was a line but we were able to be... More

Hands down favorite restaurant in Victoria. Sterling is my favorite server, always takes great care of our group. Love the food. Make me smile just thinking about it. No reservations taken, so be flexible and you are in for a treat. They aren't re-inventing the wheel, they are just serving great food with great service and ambience. Well done. I... More

Small, intimate, charming and excellent!!!!!! I must of done close to two hundred trip advisor reviews from all over the world. Many of them being in France. I would be challenged to find a better quality all around experience as we had tonight anywhere. This is truly a French Bistro with great food and service. And the value was shocking!... More
