Had a Bento box. Teriyaki steak was inedible. Tough, stringy. Last to be served. Never asked if it was ok. Lousy

I'm generally not hard to please however, this place really let me down. As an avid sushi lover I was excited to see there was an all you can eat sushi place in Victoria that had positive ratings. During our visit it was obvious to see that the restaurant was strained, as there was multiple tables and only one server.... More
A nice view, good service and food and outstanding value at $20 per head for AYCE sushi! A good selection of sushi and Japanese food and even some sashimi on the AYCE menu that is available 12 noon to 8 pm everyday except holidays. Very pleasant service rounds out a great lunch or dinner experience. For experienced AYCE patrons there... More
We happened to be walking by around lunch time and watched 3 different groups of people walk in. We decided to go in. It was quiet! Lots of seating and a small view of the marina/harbor. We ordered the rainbow roll, a sashimi bento and another roll.. I can't remember the name. It was spicy though..it was all great. My... More
We were looking for good sushi in Victoria and chose this place as we walked past it. We were greeted by a friendly hostess/waitress and escorted to the lower level where the restaurant is. We had a partial view of the harbor and were immediately waited on by the waitress that seated us. The place was almost empty. We ordered... More
Definitely worth a visit if you want amazing Sushi! We have never had such fresh and delicious sushi before! Service was excellent and we sat on the bar and was served by the chef himself who helped us choose what to order. We ate so much and were so full - we couldn't believe when our bill came how good... Went for a quick lunch date with my brother here the other day and we were both not impressed by the service or the aftermath of the food. Our server was awkward and seemed like she diddn't know what she was doing. When my brother asked to sub in salmon for tuna for his bento box they gladly did it... More
We arrived early. Place was almost empty. Turns out the food was fresh and good. My son ordered the teriyaki roll twice he loved it so much. Atmosphere and service was fine. Upon departure, the restaurant was quite full.
I consider myself to be a bit of a sushi buff, we had asked for a recommendation from the guy at the car rental place. He hit the mark head on, it's not touristy and the price and portions are amazing for the quality you receive. We had a super sweet server as well and it's hands down in the... More
I was an event host for the former Sushi Lovers of Victoria social group within the Meetup social network with friends groups worldwide. The dinner party at Shima Sushi had a social atmosphere and the staff were very attentive. The supervisors and managers must have trained their staff well?

We would like to bring some friends to your restaurant, but at the moment for health reasons I can not have anything from the sea. I have always loved your sashimi, but at the moment, for health reasons I can not have anything from the sea. Do you offer any non seafood on your menu?
