This restaurant has a mix of Indian and Tibetan dishes. I chose a Tibetan dish, vegetarian shepta, which was quite good. I also enjoyed a blueberry lassi.

This place served a delicious veggie curry with yams and zucchini. It came with rice, papadums and lentil soup. All the dishes were great in flavour and portion was just right for lunch. The price was also right at$12. Even my meat-eating friend was impressed. Open on Sundays!

This was our first visit here and was based on a search for curry/Indian menus in Victoria. The atmosphere is very unpretentious and relatively comfortable, if not a little bit awkward for seating for 2 people. We decided on the dinner special for $22 which included a nice appetizer of a spring roll, pakora and delicious samosa, then a main... More

My wife and I ate here because we love Tibetan food, we were not disappointed I had the lamb curry and my wife tried the spinach curry with palak. We both enjoyed the meals I was bring adventurist and had it medium spicy, I found the food cooked wonderfully and spiced to perfection. They also had beer on tap which... More

A couple of years ago, this place appeared on "You Gotta Eat Here". It was an amazing place at that time. 5 stars would not have been enough. The curries had layers of flavour, and it was difficult to get a seat. The Salmon Curry was to die for. How times change...(sigh) We went a couple of nights ago. The... More

Looking for something different and we found it. No fish & chips here; but rather, a great little family restaurant, excellent service, and with some very interesting flavors. The décor and background music could put you right in Tibet, even thought it's only a couple of blocks from the visitor center I the harbor area.

Located in central Victoria, this place has lovely tasting food and good service. I have not had Tibetan food before, but Indian is my comfort food and I really enjoyed the flavours.

What can you say when a place does everything right? The staff; awesome! Super attentive, soooo friendly, constantly topping up the water, bringing napkins, most likely the best wait staff we have come across. The atmosphere; Awesome! Relaxing music, perfect lighting, nice simple decor. The food; Wow! Perfectly seasoned, cooked, plated, and served! One of the top 5 places I... More

First time at this restaurant and were looking for a change. The staff were very helpful & friendly assisting with our choices. We went with the complete meal (appetizer / entree/ dessert) for $22. It was the curry chicken, which was not a strong flavorful curry (no issues) & appetizers were good / light dessert. Nice change, we will be... More

This restaurant came highly recommended by a foodie friend. Reviews were all over the place. My companion chose the curry chicken, I the curry spinach with paneer. We opted for mild heat. What we got was flavorless. No curry taste. No heat. The sauce on both reminded us of canned tomato soup , but with less flavor. The accompanying samosa... More

Tibetan Kitchen is Owner/Chef operated, established since 2008.
Located in the heart of downtown Victoria, Tibetan Kitchen owner and Chef Pemba and staff work hard to bring the best food to your table. One of a kind curries are made from dairy free ingredients but with rich cashew paste, which is house ground with aeromatic spices. Food is made from scratch, including stocks made from local free range chicken. Lots of Vegeterian and Vegan options are offered.
Born and brought up in North East India in a Tibetan family Pemba came to Canada in 2006 after working 12 years in the hotel and F&B Departments while working for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. Pemba and her staff strive to to go above and beyond to satisfy her customers by serving only the best food with a smile.
Menu is kept small and simple so it can be perfected, dining room is very simple with zen type of soft music at the background. Local wine and beer on tap are also served. Please come and enjoy food cooked with love.
