Dinner with my wife at Heron Rock was a delight. She had a salad with crab cake, I had the house-cured Reuben. Both were tasty and well prepared. The wait staff were pleasant and attentive without being intrusive. Andrew the owner takes obvious pride in...More

We've been twice now, once for breakfast, once for drinks and appies. Both times, I've been blown away by the quality of service and food. They have an excellent selection of local draft beers, and the food is top notch. Would highly recommend to anyone.

We had a nice dinner here. It was quiet enough that we could carry on a conversation and the staff was very attentive.

Enjoyed a lovely dinner at Heron Rock. 4 of us split a couple of happy hour specials: mussels and croque madame. Both were great. For dinner we had: pasta with ragout, fried chicken with potato salad, reuben sandwich, lemon sole. All 4 dishes were great....More

We ate at this restaurant twice during our stay in Victoria. It is a comfortable place with a very welcoming feel. The first time we went we had the three course wine pairing meal. Each course was nicely complemented by a generous glass of good...More

We were staying in James Bay for a couple of weeks and this place was highly recommended. The first time, we sat on the patio and I had a po'boy sandwich which was pretty underwhelming. The patio seemed like a good option as it extremely...More

We eat here at least once a year. While the atmosphere is a bit bright, the food more than makes up for it! Delicious meals, sandwiches & spots! All fresh and promptly served! Good wine & beer list. Live music three times a week, daily...More

I just needed a quick bite. Could have gone back, just didn't have time. The Caesar intrigued me with bacon and fried capers! Excellent. A Canadian white to go with.....perfect.

The food is wholesome, portions large and coffee great. Highly recommend lunch or weekend brunch. I have not been for dinner, but hear there is live music on weekends too.

Yes, they certainly do serve bacon and eggs as well as many other choices. While I have never had breakfast there, if it is as good as their lunches it will be excellent.
