life music and/or painting lessons! this place is a nice find, off the path with a water-front view and on the bus line.

I always enjoy stopping in for a cocktail after a long day. I like the old school ambience of the place. They have reasonable prices (specials) and food is okay. The views are outstanding, service is friendly.

I can't comment on the food but the drinks are reasonably priced and plentiful. Love coming here to chill out with a beer. Service is always awesome.

The view is just about all this place has going for it. No wonder the place was empty at happy hour. Limited choice of draft beer. Appys just so boring that we chose not to stay for dinner. Server was really trying to be nice. But this was the worst and most expensive food in Vancouver.

One of our favourite spots and we love coming because of the amazing service we always get from Anthony. He is always courteous and polite and the best bartender in the city :) thank you for an amazing experience every time!

Friendly service. Food is exactly as described on the menu: very tasty fish cakes, main a decent serving of grilled fish with rice and "seasonal vegetables": 2 pieces of carrot and 2 green asparagus. Still very hungry after that, but the desert (peanutbutter icecream) provided enough calories for 3 days. A great Dine Out deal for only 20 dollar, nothing... More

Great service, interesting people and delicious food. Not too much more you can ask for. Recommend the french onion soup!

This is great spot to take in the views of English Bay, kick back and enjoy a large assortment of beverages. I really like the live DJ spinning mellow beats!

Staying in West End

Neighborhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
