We visited this restaurant with a friend who recommended it. We were not disappointed. The owner is charming and he certainly knows about Italian cooking. A wonderful evening with fabulous food.

Giardino is the best Italian restaurant in Vancouver, full stop. The proprietor Umberto is a local cooking legend and the restaurant and gorgeous patio have are simply world class. Prices are not inexpensive but certainly not unreasonable for a restaurant of this caliber, and the...More

Everything about Giardinos is exceptional, the food, the service and the ambiance make this an absolute treat. I had the best Stracciatelli ever, and the Tiramisu was outstanding. So hard to choose a main course as I wanted everything I settled for the Penne Arrabiata...More

It's been a few years since I've been in Vancouver, but back in the 90s and 00s, I dined at Il Giardino many times. I was very sad when told that it had closed down a few years ago. But then Umberto Menghi, the owner,...More

The restaurant is lovely. There is inside and patio seating. The patio can get noisy so if you want a quieter experience, stay inside. The service was good. I had the osso bucco and my husband had fish. It was a nice dinner but not...More

We had requested a seat on the patio but they did not have the patio open the evening we were there. It’s unfortunate because the patio is lovely and we have enjoyed a meal there even in March. We did have a table at the...More

Went there last Dec for our office Christmas celebration and even the fact that the place was entirely full, no empty tables at all, the level of service was excellent and of course, the food was very good.

You’re right. All I can say is that the prices are inline with other high end Vancouver Italian restaurants.
