The waiter / foods was all great but the hostess has an attitude. I am not sure if anyone wants to get bad service when we pay big money. I would not recommend to go there for special occasions because she ruined our dinner and...did not want to apologize at all. When we left she didn’t say sorry ,not even thank you.More

This is one of the top Italian restaurants in Vancouver. The pastas are fresh and tasty, and the service and atmosphere are exceptional. The decor reminds me of my last trip to Italy. I highly recommend the tirimisu for dessert.

Delayed by COVID and other interruptions, I finally used a gift certificate for a meal at Giardino restaurant. And what a meal it was – memorable and totally enjoyable! Giardino offers the type of fine dining that I really appreciate. The ambiance is elegant and...comfortable, enhanced by a huge collection of artwork. The service is attentive, professional and friendly. And the food is superb. I enjoyed a burrata salad plate and then venison loin with bone marrow pudding and a Chianti reduction. My partner had smoked salmon followed by rack of lamb. The meal was perfectly accompanied by a Vino Nobile de Montepulciano from 2014. The restaurant was full of happy diners and the evening was wonderful!More

Giardino is a 5 star restaurant, HOWEVER, we are shocked at the absence of one of the BEST servers. GIOVANNA is the reason that we have returned SO MANY TIMES. The atmosphere and the meals are insignificant if the service is not exemplary. Giovanna and...Giardino mean a 100% experience. We are so extremely disappointed that she is missing.More

Still ticking along so busy and so beautiful. Social distancing, All COVID protocols in place. Without a doubt the most beautiful restaurant in Vancouver (even with the screening in place). The food is simple and delicious. Most of all the staff make one feel like...family, Each with their own individual personality and sense of being a good host to every diner. These fabulous warm efficient people wrap each person in their care. They make one feel included as a welcome guest with their kind hospitality.More

As much as i love Giardino and my favorite dish pasta Al Nerro, our experience on Friday (September 4, 2020 @ 9pm) was very poor. Not sure what was going on as I would think when the restaurant is not at full capacity the service...should be top notch, especially at this restaurant. It was very hot at the restaurant, felt like we were in Mexico, so our waiter running around all sweaty wasn't cute to watch. We had a company of 4 people, 3 of us ordered pasta Al Nerro Di Seppio (i beleive that's the name of it) and 1 guest ordered their Halibut special. Once our meal arrived no one asked us if we would like some Parmesan with our pasta, so we had to wait and try to catch one of the stuff to ask for some Parmesan (everyone was running around and no one had time to stop by at our table the whole evening). Our table was constantly out of water, again was impossible to catch our waiter. I have to say the food was good, however service that night was at 1 out of 10! After dinner we wanted some desert, so when our waiter came by to grab our empty plates i asked him for desert menu, which should be offered by him? He didn't seem to understand what i was saying, so i had to repeat myself 3 times that we wanted a desert menu! Again, tiramisu was very good however the whole atmosphere of the evening just ruined our dinner for us. Since i do not go out much for dinners and it was somewhat a special occasion i was very disappointed and next time would just go to Cioppino's that never disappoints.More

The only aspect that outshone our delicious dinner Saturday evening in the garden patio was Francois, our wonderful server. He was attentive, informative and charismatic. He was a perfect host who energized the garden with his cheer and hearty laughter.

Good food however with table hopping and loud groups of diners it was just like pre-Covid. Social distancing was not an option.

Beautiful little restaurant and excellent food and service. Waiter gave us tips on the city and his experience in having corrective eye surgery.

It was a very special occasion for our friends, my husband and myself. I mentioned this to Giardino when we made our reservation and my husband mentioned it to our server during dinner. We were very disappointed that there was no acknowledgment of our anniversary....Other fine dining restaurants that we ate at this month to celebrate birthdays and other special occasions have provided a complimentary dessert. At Oceans 999 even although it was an Italian buffet they gave us a special dessert that was not on the buffet. At Seasons in the Park they gave us cake with a candle on top. I know that Giardino used to give a complimentary desserts for special occasions. Has the policy changed or was this an oversight. Small gestures meal a great deal. For the price of meals surely they could do something to acknowledge special occasions. Our server was fine. We never had to touch the wine as she topped it up continually during the evening. I had requested a seat in Phillipe sections as he had provided us with exceptional service when we dined at Giardino previously but unfortunately he was not working the Saturday we were there. Prices are extremely high and although we enjoyed our dinner and the food I find it hard to justify the expense. For the money paid I did not feel it was an exceptional evening. Our friends shared the special appetizer of a crab meat, mango and avocado tower and my husband and I shared paccheri di gragnano – pasta with Italian sausage and pecorino cheese. For entrees we had pasta with clams, lasagna, Tuscan chicken and veal chop. It was good but nothing special for the price. It will be a long time, if ever before we return.More

You’re right. All I can say is that the prices are inline with other high end Vancouver Italian restaurants.
