Went for an early Saturday lunch around Noon. It was quiet and I got seated right away. Got two west coast oysters whose name I never quite got, based on my waiters recommendation (service was good), but I wasn't impressed. The Mussel steamer, however was fantastic. Lots of plump mussels in a tasty broth (a bit salty), some of the... More

We stopped in for some seafood and a beer during Happy Hour and had a great time. The entire staff and our server, Anthony, were very friendly and attentive to our needs. This is a high energy fun down to earth eatery that is buzzing with vibrant people. We ordered off the Happy Hour menu. The $1.50 oysters were succulent... More

We didn't have reservations and were seated in the bar in the back room. We normally don't like sitting at the bar for dinner but it was more than fine. The guys back there, George, Russell and Brandon (?) were very nice guys... friendly, attentive, funny and made it a great dining experience. The food was very good. The atmosphere... More

My wife and I went to Rodney's Oyster house on Monday night. The palace was very busy. We went for a couple of beers and some Oysters. The Oysters were fantastic. We decided to stay for dinner. I had the potato encrusted halibut. My wife had the scallops. Both were very good. The waiters were really nice guys but service... More

I was visiting a friend in Vancouver and she said we absolutely must go to Rodney's as it is her favourite pay day treat. It is a little bit pricier than my average haunt but it was totally worth it. The staff are super friendly and all wearing hilarious t-shirts. It's a really buzzing but intimate venue. It can get... More

My husband and I stopped in here during happy hour (Low Tide) to rest our weary feet and eat some oysters. The place was already very busy at 5:00 so we sat at the bar where we enjoyed good service and a chat with the bar tender. This place is high energy with wonderful fresh seafood. Recommended.

Went for a friend's Birthday and it was painful. Our food was great but service was lacking. Needed to remind server of drink and food orders in order to get them... The check was the biggest nightmare. They did not split them at all which is fine, but our server did not help us calculate who needed to pay what.... More

Staying in Yaletown & False Creek North

Neighborhood Profile
Yaletown & False Creek North
Yaletown has risen from the ashes of its rough-and-tumble industrial past into one of Vancouver's new chicest neighbourhoods. The place responsible for originating of the phrase 'skid row' might not call to mind independently-owned boutiques and terraced cafes, but having swallowed the waterfront lines of False Creek North, the resulting amalgamation transformed the area into an elegant, stylish hotspot with a view. Its youthful vibe owes to the many young families and young professionals who live there, bolstering nightlife and restaurant variety along its cobbled streets. It is the flagship neighbourhood for modern revitalization, and the It-Spot for boutique hotels and modish eats.
