The combination of the decor, the wooden tables and chairs, the haunting music, the friendly servers and the delicious food makes this a must do in Vancouver. Very happening. Plus free chai. Can't beat this.

We were looking to go to a nice place and enjoy a nice meal and a bottle of wine! They don't serve alcohol. It's ok, but I would recommend for something casual or lunch! My husband went to liquor store and bought a bottle. They charged us a 20$ cork fee. The food is fabulous and the waitress super super... More

Such a great place! Very nice staff, wonderful food, excellent value. I would come here as often as possible: check out the dinner "feast" which is very interesting and also a good deal.

We tried the Silk Route dish which is like buffet but better - they come and serve you. There was a good selection of vegetarian and meat options. We tried all veg entrees. The eggplant one was our favorite. Ordered multiple servings. I liked Afghan rice too. Ambience was really nice.

My sister and I ordered a couple of the wraps from here. Phoned around 6:00 pm and wraps were ready for pick-up in ten minutes. Great service. Came with salads as well. Tasty food, fast service. LOVE IT!

Beautiful space with welcoming good service and great food. Tried 3 roti and they were all excellent. The salmon was my favorite. Good dessert too. I only wish I could have tried all the different chais and smoothies. Wish the smoothie window was open in the morning as it would be a great way to start the day.

Love this restaurant for lunch and dinner! Great vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free options. Delicious food and chai bar. Samples at the door. Unique decor that contributes to the dining experience. Friendly service.

Came again for lunch here. It's wonderful for lunch. The staff are always very friendly and offering samples of chai when you walk in. I couldn't resist having the dahl again, but I did manage to try a different bread with it this time. Always super flavourful and full of cauliflower.

Mostly vegetarian food, with <10 meat, poultry, & seafood options. This restaurant is not licensed for alcohol but they have spicy chai. It's an exotic menu for vegetarians looking for something other than curries.

Staying in Kitsilano

Neighborhood Profile
Kitsilano is one of Vancouver's most transformative neighbourhoods. With a long history of coffee culture and poetry readings, its days of flower children and buskers may be long-gone, but not without leaving their mark on the number of organic restaurants and fair-trade cafes in the area. At the centre of Kitsilano ("Kits" for short) the almost idyllic expanse of Kits Beach offers the opportunity for a relaxed afternoon of beach volleyball or sunbathing. Along with the beachfront, nearby public pools and trendy street-beats have driven up the homeowners prices, making it a haven for stylish home goods stores, from design and furniture, to supplies and appliances. The multitude of both families and public spaces also make it a happening neighbourhood in the summer, when festivals and fairs take to Kits' streets.
