A warm and super friendly atmosphere. Staff more than happy.to help you out. Great food great prices. Highly recommend you try the breakfast 🥯.

Great for smoking and chilling really impressive line up for food and drinks and to smoke in peace is a bonus. Highly recommend for a chill time

Membership and service was easy. Volcano knocked me out (literally), but staff was en pointe - would green out here again.

Well been going to the place off and on for a few years . Place was better hrs ago . Now drinks are way over priced and the food also a grill cheese sandwich with a small bowl of potato chips for like $10 half the staff are pleasant. But other half are rude at times and walk around like it’s a privilege for you to be in there . Lots of bums attend this cafe . They come in asking you for weed money or they grab your roaches out of ashtray . If you visit during winter mths dress warm they leave the door open and place gets very cold inside not the perfect spot to chill and enjoy your weed if you are cold . Easy to find weed inside lots of weed dealers attend the place .

I’ve been coming to this place on and off for over 10 years when I come over from Vancouver Island. It’s been a couple years since I’ve been and I recently found out about the membership, which I was excited about at first until I realized that all it really does it give you a discount on a cover charge that didn’t exist before. So I pay for my membership and then still have to pay 5 dollars to go inside.
It used to be that you had to make a purchase over 5 dollars of drinks or food, and then you could rent bongs and vaporizers. :/ I honestly just wanted to have a coffee and a quick snack and have a small puff break, I didn’t want to have to pay 10 extra to do so. Seems like a money grab.
I smoked my joint in park and got a coffee down the street. Disappointing, this was once one of my favourite spots.

Me and my husband were here in june 2022. We came in and were met by a very friendly young woman, Who told us it was ok that we brought our own drinks. (Non alcoholic). Then the manager came a little time after and told us in a very condesending tone, that we could not bring our drinks and we told her that we asked before, and was told it was ok. Then she replied "Well I'm the manager, so I would know". Very unfriendly and we left after just 30 mins because of the very bad vibe from the manager. 26 dollars we payed for a very bad experience. Can not recommened, at least not when the manager is at work. Go to Cannabis culture lounge insead.

as a regular visitor to Vancouver, New Amsterdam is always one of our first ports of call. The clue is in the name ~ this is more like the brown cafes of Amsterdam than a traditional food-based cafe, although the food is delicious and they serve some of the best coffee in the city (few places do a decent flat white!)
The main attraction is downstairs; relaxed, safe & friendly place to consume your own 420, we usually hire a vaporiser for the novelty of it & for $10 an hour it comes with everything you need to get stuck in!
A previous reviewer mentioned that there are no restrooms which is incorrect, they are on the entry level opposite the bar.
We will definitely be back next time we are in town & have happily recommended NAC to our friends heading to Vancouver

• smoke downstairs for $5 per hour before 5pm. After 5pm it's free
• table service
• food. Munchies. No alcohol
• inc use of bongs, lungs
• a locals destination
• friendly staff
• don't sell Mary Jane but there's 210 dispensaries in close proximity who do! I recommend Blue Dream (also remember these names are just re-branded from the source so ask what it REALLY is called).
• no toilet, however the public washrooms are literally across the road. Don't let this out you off folks :)

I love this place, it's very safe and relaxing, especially I'm a stranger in this continent, they made me feel welcomed. I think they're enthusiasts, they rent out vape machine at very cheap price and set it up for you if you don't know how to use it. They never take advantage of tourist (oh ya some really do, in Canada, believe me I've been to these shaddy places, but definitely not here). Very very Canadian. Love it!!

Very peaceful place with friendly stuff
They offer a wide collection of beverages and desserts
I recommend it to anyone visiting Vancouver and would like to have Amsterdam experience all in one
They don’t have a dispensary at the cafe but exactly on the opposite side there’s a cool one called Bulldog with better collection than Amsterdam 😂
Those two spots, New Amsterdam Cafe and Bulldog reminds me of the Dam square and it’s vibe, they are even imitating the names of the places

Visiting Vancouver for the first time, I made sure to stop in here. Very relaxing atmosphere & friendly staff. Being from Montreal (& behind the times) was great to finally have such a place to unwind ;) Recommended.

A smoking lounge for marijuana. The couches are worn, the TV only shows sports, and the food is not why you are there - nor do you care about taste when you have the munchies. But I still gave this place four stars because where else can you smoke these days. About half a block from Gas Town, this neighborhood is not on the maps, but has some interesting costume and head shops. Note: Marijuana is not legally sold here (wink, wink) you must bring your own from an authorized dispensary.

Excellent service, friendly and helpful staff.
Everything we had was very tasty (and this was pre smoke) - pulled pork sandwich was fantastic and the grilled cheese was oozing with three cheeses. For dessert, a root beer float and a couple of cookies that were perfectly baked, soft with a crispy edge.
Rules to follow: no pictures, $2 purchase minimum and 18+.

Called in to ask a few questions. The guy making coffees was very helpful and pointed me across the road for help. When I came back they made me a coffee and got the smoking equipment ready. Not having these shops near my home town makes it a real buzz to go in and check out. I strongly recommend this place for a coffee and a bong.

Wonderful customer service and a nice place to stop and have a break from the sea of faceless people that surround it. If it's before five head downstairs and sit in a comfortable place and smoke in peace. The staff will bring you anything you might need and for five dollars you can kick it as long as you need to. It was an enjoyable part of our trip.
