I used to go to The Naam, this time I wanted to try something new. The service was friendly, nice seating outside, good people-watching opportunity. The food was okay but nothing special.

First time here for breakfast/brunch. Service was very good, our waiter was attentive, coffee never empty. I had the aphrodite breakfast which was good, I chose the bacon which was nice but it did come with a very good salad. Toast was good as was the jam to go with it. My friend had the farmhand frittata which he indicated... More

Long waits, slow service but very nice staff and great food. Here's the thing, if you don't mndvwaiting and are determined to indulge in high end organic cuisine...this place is great! Their options are huge as are their prices and to that I say..."why not reduce the portion sizes and prices?" Almost every table had a quarter of their good... More

Our family of 6 had a fantastic dinner recently at Aphrodite. From the welcoming friendly staff, tasty meals and desserts to die for (the next evening, we took home pies for dessert!) I would definitely return next time we visit Vancouver.

Visited fairly new location for Aphrodite which is almost opposite the old cafe and pie shop. Venue is more upscale but very disappointed with the food. Vegetarian pie was over-re-heated and filling dry. Mac and cheese was bland and semi warm. Salads that came with both were good. Cups had rough texture of dried on food from inadequate rinsing. Known... More

I don't say this often about restaurants but this place rated in the top 5 restaurants I have ever been to... Very cute decor, AMAZING staff, DELICIOUS ORGANIC FOOD! YUM! Their Quinoa soup is an absolute must-try! It rated in my top 3 best foods ever tasted (and I have been quite spoiled with food in my life). I would... More

This is a fantastic restaurant for people that enjoy organic, clean and filling food. They have both vegetarian Non vegetarian options and their pies are amazing, especially the banana cream pie-- yummy. I always bring friends here that are from out of town to give them a feel of Vancouver.

I love this place. As an ethical vegan, I'm always looking for restaurants that honor my concerns for animals and offer delicious vegan food. The Caramelized Leek & Lentil House Soup will make any customer feel warm, cozy, and satisfied. And the vegan Blackberry Apple pie with vegan coconut ice cream are orgasmic! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this restaurant.

Wow. Super food. Wonderful menu and specials. Great Art. Ethical Food. Lovely waitstaff. What else is needed? Don't come here when you're in a big hurry. Service is leisurely. Food is prepared with care.

Staying in Kitsilano

Neighborhood Profile
Kitsilano
Kitsilano is one of Vancouver's most transformative neighbourhoods. With a long history of coffee culture and poetry readings, its days of flower children and buskers may be long-gone, but not without leaving their mark on the number of organic restaurants and fair-trade cafes in the area. At the centre of Kitsilano ("Kits" for short) the almost idyllic expanse of Kits Beach offers the opportunity for a relaxed afternoon of beach volleyball or sunbathing. Along with the beachfront, nearby public pools and trendy street-beats have driven up the homeowners prices, making it a haven for stylish home goods stores, from design and furniture, to supplies and appliances. The multitude of both families and public spaces also make it a happening neighbourhood in the summer, when festivals and fairs take to Kits' streets.
