This place has a great atmosphere and a great vibe - we scored a seat on the patio which is great for people watching. We loved the "book" menus and the extensive choice of drinks and eats. I can highly recommend the Aperol Fizz and of course, the poutine! Service was friendly too.

Right behind Gassy Jack statue so good spot to watch the world go by. Happy hour drinks offer and selection of lunch/dinner options. Had the mini burger and fries which were fine. Interesting decor.

Stopped in past Six Acres while we were having a wander round Gastown. All we were after was a couple of drinks as it was a hot day and not quite lunchtime. The drinks hit the spot and we had a side order of sweet & savoury nuts to go with them. Pleasantly surprised. Give it a try.

Found this place while trying to find a place to eat that was not our normal places to eat in Gastown. The menu is small but had a lot of good items to choose from. Shared some appies and dessert. Not much of a cocktail menu but good choice of beers and wines.

Loved the atmosphere. It is located where the statue of 'Gassy Jack' is. Try the Cheddar Corn Fritters -awesome!

Walking throughn Gastown was fantastic and if you are looking for a great place for lunch then we suggest that you keep walking to the end of waters street to Six Acres pub. The food is very reasonably priced and the beer prices are some of teh cheapest around.

Stopped here during a long bike ride with children. The food was great, the staff very friendly and the beer refreshing.

We stopped here for a drink and snacks and enjoyed ourselves. We had local ciders and appetizers (some great nuts and also some popcorn). The waitstaff was busy but friendly. We were seated upstairs. The place is behind the Gassy Jack statue in Gas Town and would be great to hang out in the outdoor seating, too, I imagine. We... More

Six Acres is a hipster place. The seating is intimate and uncomfortable, but the beer selection is pretty good. The food is ok. I'd suggest going to Six Acres for a beer and appy, then going elsewhere for dinner. Warning, be prepared for the wait staff to give no $hits about being helpful or nice.

Staying in Gastown

Neighborhood Profile
A visit to Gastown is like turning back the clock and stepping into a bygone era. With the distinction of being Vancouver's oldest neighborhood, the many plaques that stud the cobbled streets of Gastown tell the story of its colorful past, giving Vancouver's history a more lively presence here than anywhere else. Having been originally founded around a popular worker's saloon, it's no wonder that today some of Vancouver's best micro-breweries, creative cocktail joints, and corner bars can be found in this area. Classical charm suffuses its many vintage boutiques and the brick-built structures that an army of creative professionals call home.
