Lots of choices in the West End- even of Italian food! but this is a reliable one. Often full and lively, the service is excellent. I like the garlic scampi and their very good, very dry martini- and Doug playing piano Wednesday to Thursday- old standards- adds to the very pleasant ambiance. recommended.

We found this restaurant on trip advisor and decided to give it a try as we were on a stop over in Vancouver for the weekend. We loved every thing!!! We had a group of us (6) and everything from there salad, pasta and eggplant was awesome! Service was also top notch. A pianist was also playing which added a... More

We walked to this Italian trattoria from the Coast Plaza Hotel and it served a selection of pastas, baked dishes, meats and seafood. We chose the three-course dinner for $29.95 each, selecting the appetizers (Mediterranean salad and lobster tomato bisque), main courses (chicken with pasta and fish with pasta), then desserts (tiramisu and profiteroles). With the addition of some red... More

Stopped here looking for some good wholesome Italian food, and disappointed 😔 3 in our group, and ordered - baked lasagne, minestrone soup and penne pesto pasta, with side of garlic bread. Portion sizes are good As for the quality -: Soup needed a bit more flavour, but was ok, pesto pasta was tasty but amount of pesto was heavy,... More

Arrived and seated promptly. Looked busy & full of "locals" as we witnessed a few guests were returners - evident from the friendly welcomes they received. Complementary Bread & oils & water brought to the table whilst we perused the menu. The prices quoted were so much more expensive than the other Italian restaurant we passed by, so we expected... We set foot in Ciao Bella after noticing a 50% discount on pasta on a Monday evening. It was packed but the manager secured a table for two and off we went. Great pasta and the wine was good and affordable. The staff knew everyone but us and a table of four from Manitoba. The locals served up great conversation... More

We visited from Texas with a family of six with two small children and two seniors. The staff was superb. The food was excellent. Only issue was no kids menu, but they worked with us. High marks from me, service makes the difference when traveling with kids and old people.

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
