As a local, I have been coming to The Eatery for a while and each time I go the service gets worse and worse however, I keep going back because the food is good. I visited after work last week and that evening I experienced severe food poisoning and was hospitalized. The only item of food I had in the... More

Oh yeah, and Randy is cool too. Whenever he is around. He's a busy guy with all his ventures and other restaurants and stuff. They usually try to find you a good table and the food comes pretty fast and the drinks are awesome also.

Could be a nice, funky place if only the service were not so terrible. Sorry girls, just looking good is not enough. I've been there a number of times, always thinking I may have had a bad day the previous time, but it's always been the same. A few times I waited 20 minutes after being seated just to order.... This place is so unique unlike most sushi places that are bright and lacking atmosphere , there is so much atmosphere you forget about the food for a moment.... the walls, the ceilings, all have some cool picture or element happening, really entertaining... and now the food! well the selection is crazy... so much variety... hard to know where to... This place is very representative of Kits... fun, noisy, eclectic - with anamazing sushi menu that is almost impossible to take in. We gave up and ordered the biggest platter, which proved to be the best choice... although ordering a few rolls at a time would have prolongued the experience and allowed us to enjoy eAch one indicidually. Service was... More

Ate here twice with my girlfriend. Lunch and dinner. I recommend going for dinner as the black lights enhance the rock and roll themed decor. Interesting menu. Unique take on sushi. Hard to find something you won't enjoy. I recommend drinking beer over their cocktails.

The atmosphere is really unique. It's aimed at a younger crowd as its dark and can be loud. Some nights there is a dj. The sushi is really unique and delicious, the decor is really cool and the service is awesome. Very affordable as well.

We've been going to the eatery for quite sometime now. Its a great place to hangout if you're with friends, family not so much. Food/sushi is amazing, the ambiance is great as well with live DJs on weekends. The place is pretty busy most of the times and you can feel crammed up, there is almost no space between two... More

Staying in Kitsilano

Neighborhood Profile
Kitsilano is one of Vancouver's most transformative neighbourhoods. With a long history of coffee culture and poetry readings, its days of flower children and buskers may be long-gone, but not without leaving their mark on the number of organic restaurants and fair-trade cafes in the area. At the centre of Kitsilano ("Kits" for short) the almost idyllic expanse of Kits Beach offers the opportunity for a relaxed afternoon of beach volleyball or sunbathing. Along with the beachfront, nearby public pools and trendy street-beats have driven up the homeowners prices, making it a haven for stylish home goods stores, from design and furniture, to supplies and appliances. The multitude of both families and public spaces also make it a happening neighbourhood in the summer, when festivals and fairs take to Kits' streets.
