We had brunch today at Naam. Apparently this is the oldest vegetarian restaurant in Vancouver. If you wish to eat here, I suggest you get up early. It holds quite a few people but the lineup outside was quite long by 11AM and with good reason. The scrambled tofu was nothing short of spectacular. The service was fast and friendly.... More

This is a wonderful place to go for any meal, breakfast has been my usual time to go though. Great atmosphere and an extremely friendly and knowledgable staff. I have several dietary restrictions and am always able to pick from almost all the menu, which is rare! I would definitely recommend stopping by, usually pretty busy on the weekends for... More

Hi Josie A., Thank you for letting us know about your experiences at The NAAM. I too have dietary restrictions so completely understand how difficult it can be at times to eat out- especially for breakfast! At The NAAM we do try to be accommodating of a variety of dietary needs so I am very happy to hear that we... More

Had the breakfast special ... omlette with feta cheese, arcachoke , veggies and house fries .. and coffee. In the past I loved the coffee but yestutday had it with breakfast. I could not wait to get back to my car to finish the coffee I made for the drive in. Tasted like a cheap brand ... no name kind... More

Hi Golden1958, Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your most recent experience at The NAAM. I'm so sorry that our coffee wasn't to your liking on this visit but I want to reassure you that we do still use the same blend of organic locally-roasted JJ Bean coffee that we have been brewing for over... We had a delicious meal of Indian food (broccoli saag, red lentil and black bean daal - the evening special). The food was nicely spiced, we left very full and happy. Will definitely be back!

There are a great selection of dishes to choose from. The portion size is generous and I haven't eaten tofu that's been cooked so well outside of Asia. We will definitely go back!

We ate a late dinner here just after Boxing Day. Had to wait about 15 minutes to get in around 8 p.m. Seems like it's a busy scene. It's apparently open 24 hours a day, so find some off hours. Food was good. Large helpings. Enough choices for vegans. Good dessert choices. Have eaten in better vegetarian restaurants, but this... More

After having heard about this restaurant that offered vegan dishes, we were happy to travel the distance to get there. But, although we are vegan, we don't adhere to the old idea that if you are vegetarian or vegan, you need to adopt a certain hippie-like lifestyle. So the old crappy furniture that would only be comfortable for school children... More

Staying in Kitsilano

Neighborhood Profile
Kitsilano
Kitsilano is one of Vancouver's most transformative neighbourhoods. With a long history of coffee culture and poetry readings, its days of flower children and buskers may be long-gone, but not without leaving their mark on the number of organic restaurants and fair-trade cafes in the area. At the centre of Kitsilano ("Kits" for short) the almost idyllic expanse of Kits Beach offers the opportunity for a relaxed afternoon of beach volleyball or sunbathing. Along with the beachfront, nearby public pools and trendy street-beats have driven up the homeowners prices, making it a haven for stylish home goods stores, from design and furniture, to supplies and appliances. The multitude of both families and public spaces also make it a happening neighbourhood in the summer, when festivals and fairs take to Kits' streets.
