I had heard such great things about this place and queued out the door to get a table. I was seriously let down and I felt horrible after the food. This place is not healthy - so don't be fooled by that. Very average food.

The menu has so many tasty sounding options for vegans, so lovely to have the choice! The I had the Naam dragon bowl and my partner had the five burger. Both were tasty, not amaaaazing but tasty. The puddings looked so good but didn't have any room at all left for it! I would say that portions should be smaller... More

A place with nice non-posterous ambience. We had a nice breakfast/brunch. The portions were good, but nothing exceptional. Speedy and friendly service. Not for meat-lovers.

I had the Maui wowi I think it was called. Soooo good! One of the best breakfasts I've had. It was quick too! Hubby had the Mexican omelet and really liked it. Good bang for your buck!

I'm still dreaming, and drooling, over this restaurant a month after our visit. We came here for brunch before leaving Vancouver as we read amazing reviews. We ordered the vegan pancakes, and the sausages each, and ordered a large plate of homefries to share. This was A LOT of food, and I had to take some to go, but I... More

Hi MrsHowkins! Thank you for letting us know about your experience at The NAAM. I'm so happy that you enjoyed your last breakfast in Vancouver before leaving and I agree with you, those Vegan Pancakes are so yummy that I often recommend them to non-vegans as well! Also, since your husband likes the Miso Gravy so much, you may want... More

As an omnivore, I had a nice vegetarian meal without feeling a need during or afterward for some meat. This restaurant has a nice casual feel to it.

Two of us stopped by for some healthy vegetarian fare. Small naam salad with sesame grilled tofu appetizer and thai rice bowl. Great flavors, large portions. Never disappointed with this eclectic place. No room for dessert. Will be back again.

So amazing. So fantastic. I used to live in Vancouver and went often. Now, I make a point of managing my trips so I can return and eat this food. The fries and miso gravy are so good. The burger, the bowls, the breakfast, the coffee - I could go on but simply put, I've never had a bad meal.

Hello RandJones666, Thank you for writing such an incredible review of The NAAM. I have heard from people who moved away and return to visit whenever they are in town, but never anyone who has arranged their trips just so they could return. We wish you still lived here and- I know it's not the same as eating in restaurant... More

Staying in Kitsilano

Neighborhood Profile
Kitsilano is one of Vancouver's most transformative neighbourhoods. With a long history of coffee culture and poetry readings, its days of flower children and buskers may be long-gone, but not without leaving their mark on the number of organic restaurants and fair-trade cafes in the area. At the centre of Kitsilano ("Kits" for short) the almost idyllic expanse of Kits Beach offers the opportunity for a relaxed afternoon of beach volleyball or sunbathing. Along with the beachfront, nearby public pools and trendy street-beats have driven up the homeowners prices, making it a haven for stylish home goods stores, from design and furniture, to supplies and appliances. The multitude of both families and public spaces also make it a happening neighbourhood in the summer, when festivals and fairs take to Kits' streets.
