As a someone who was seeking vegetarian food in Vancouver this place was on everyones list and now I know why. It was simple, straight forward, affordable food AND really really yummy. The quality of the simple ingredients was very high. Even the bread, which looked very "hippy" and homemade, was tasty and rich in depth.

Not sure how to review the Naam. The last 3 visits have left me wondering why I return. I find the waiters to be some top notch and others just want their shift done. The last order was cold. When it comes to poached eggs that's pretty hard. I could understand if it was busy but there were only 5... More

We went for dinner a few days ago (my student daughter, 21, and her two housemates). Very good vegetarian dishes, great portion sizes for a low price. Only minor downsize: Very minimal wine selection. However, a vibrant and comfortable atmosphere and live music. Will definitely come back.

I have been to the Naam numerous times. I have always enjoyed the food, staff, and ambiance. I am always amazed how it is open 24 hours a day, and how I can walk past at 10pm on a Friday and there is a line-up out the door. I make sure to take all visiting family and friends to this... More

I have been to the Naam a number of times and it truly is always a pleasure. The atmosphere is quite laid back but at times it can be quite loud with chatter. I have explored most of their menu and can safely say I have always been satisfied. Typically, when there are a number of dietary restrictions to be... More

This was a family meal, and was a nice place for us to be able to sit and catch up. The food was nice vegetarian fusion food. I had a rice bowl with some Thai styled flavours that were not too strong. The service was nice and pleasant, and the price was good. I liked the fact that on you... More

Always love the Naam. I had the Buddha bowl and my partner had an Asian soup bowl. We also shared a plate of cheesey fries with sesame seeds and the wonderful famous sauce. So delish. Our server was cute with a flower in his hair we thought you rocked. Open 24 hours and always some great people watching.

We enjoyed a flavorful breakfast. The veg loco moko with poached eggs and miso gravy was just right. Of course splitting a slice of chocolate raspberry cake afterward might have negated any health benefits...

I'm not vegan or vegetarian, but I do enjoy vegan/vegetarian food whenever I get a chance. This place is cross between 60's kitsch and casual/rustic in decor. The menu is vast and has something for every taste. I ordered the "Seven Star Burger". It came with Sesame Fries and Salad. The burger was very good, but needed the mustard and... More

I love to go to vegetarian places because usually flavours are exploited in such different ways than what I'm normally used. The Naam did not disappoint at all. Had the Tempeh Reuben and it was brilliant. Very reasonably priced for Vancouver too and generous portions. Would definitely recommend to try it out. Can't wait to go back and try different... More

Staying in Kitsilano

Neighborhood Profile
Kitsilano is one of Vancouver's most transformative neighbourhoods. With a long history of coffee culture and poetry readings, its days of flower children and buskers may be long-gone, but not without leaving their mark on the number of organic restaurants and fair-trade cafes in the area. At the centre of Kitsilano ("Kits" for short) the almost idyllic expanse of Kits Beach offers the opportunity for a relaxed afternoon of beach volleyball or sunbathing. Along with the beachfront, nearby public pools and trendy street-beats have driven up the homeowners prices, making it a haven for stylish home goods stores, from design and furniture, to supplies and appliances. The multitude of both families and public spaces also make it a happening neighbourhood in the summer, when festivals and fairs take to Kits' streets.
