We did not do the buffet, but ordered Coconut chicken and Chicken Curry, medium spicy, with rice, and naan. It was very good and I would go there again for Indian food. Didn't try the sweets but there were sure a lot of them.

As I have enjoyed the cuisine in India, the dishes here taste more bland and are the basic quality. The fresh salad was unusual as it had no greens! Raw onions, green peppers, cucumbers and a few other veggies were very refreshing.

My wife had the lunch buffet with an addition of chicken curry. The dishes were of mixed quality, with raita being the most notably better than average quality--very creamy. My wife was very disappointed in the chicken curry. I had vegetable samosas, which were served witth a garbanzo side instead of the usual tamarind and mint chutneys. The samosas were... More

I went out for dinner with my spouse, daughter and son-in-law on this Saturday evening. It has been awhile since I have eaten East Indian food. My initiation into Indian food is limited to butter chicken, lentils, pakoras, samosa, spicy potato patties (alu tikki). I decided on the buffet since it gave me a chance to try a little of... More

I'm happy your daughter and son-in-law enjoyed our buffet, but it's a shame you weren't totally impressed. For over thirty years, we've used the freshest ingredients and authentic recipes, so I'm deeply sorry if the curry goat and butter chicken left you dissatisfied. That said, we're always looking for ways to improve, so I appreciate your feedback. I hope we'll... More

This place is owned by Nepalese people. Most traditional Indian dishes are still on the menu, but the taste is not at all authentic. The service is fine, but the food needs improvement. Our friend who had not tasted Indian food before found it amazing, but we could not agree. Sweets are okay.

While I'm glad you enjoyed the service, I'm sorry you weren't impressed with the meal. We actually serve food from many different regions of India (but focus on East Indian delicacies) and have a team of specialty chefs from India preparing the dishes on-site from fresh, quality ingredients. We take great pride in our food and would love another opportunity... More

I usually stop by this restaurant for a meal at the vegetarian Indian buffet. It provides a filling meal that satisfies my cravings for indian food. This is not 'gourmet' but average food that fills you up. The price is very reasonable, and unlike some other buffets I have visited, they are generous with their pappadams and naan bread. The... Second time in, both on a Saturday night. The vegetarian buffet is great. This time we tried an add on meat dish...only good, not great. The VB had all the different varieties one could hope for. The Naan was excellent. Only thing I would have liked was maybe a samosa. As I am sure they would be difficult to keep... More

Awesome spot by Main and Fraser. About $10 CAD for a vegetarian buffet of authetic home cooked vegetarian dishes. For an extra $5 CAD there are some meat choices that can be added on. Although it looks like a small buffet, it is packed with flavor and there is variety. They have two desserts included with the buffet but if... More

Considering the cheap price for an 'all you can eat' buffet, this is not half bad. The service was good and the food was average. However, I loved the 'GULAB JAMUN' for desert! mmmmm...sweet enough to rot your teeth on the spot!

Today I went with a Indian friend to “All India” at Main Street and 49th. My friend was happy to find an all-vegetarian buffet there. But his euphoria disappeared very fast when he started eating. I found the buffet not so bad, but also not special at all. The taste was not great. The worst thing to me was the... More

I'm so sorry you and your friends were disappointed with your meals, Ben. Having to eat food that is dry, hard, and lukewarm is unacceptable. Staying in Little India / Punjabi Market

Neighborhood Profile
Little India / Punjabi Market
Little India has changed in recent years. While some view it as a declining neighbourhood due to emigration and competition, it is still the original site of the Punjabi Market, and an epicentre for Indo-Canadian culture. The many textile outlets along these blocks boast endless swaths of colourful sari fabric, while the local markets and food stalls waft the savory scent of sugar and spice. Indian fast-pop breaks the quiet of the neighbourhood, as it drifts out from the windows of shops and homes, and glitzy storefronts offer bangles, jewels, and silk at reasonable prices. Join the bargain hunt and step into a world apart in Little India, which becomes especially upbeat during the summer, when celebrations and festivities take hold of its streets.
