Concierge at Pan Pacific hotel recommended and I can see why. The beef and eggplant dish were amazing and I avoid eggplant! The baked barbecue pork pies were amazing too. We had hot and sour soup and won ton soup and they were good but not great. Restaurant was very large and nearly every table full, many of Asian descent.... More

We came here in June and were going to come again in August, but the restaurant was closed for a wedding the night we went and we didn't have a chance to go back again. The dim sum is not great, but the meals off the regular menu are good.

Got some dim sum take out here as it’s one of like 2 dim sum places in downtown Vancouver, and it’s expensive!! The food tastes good, but I can get the same for a cheaper price outside of downtown Vancouver. I got the beef cannelloni for $7.99 and I can probably get this for a max of $5 in East... More

Restaurant reopened again couple months ago...after it was forced to close down after small fire two years ago. The food is of same quality and staff is polite and courteous as before, but service a bit slow during peak hours. Location is convenient and parking is available underground. Tables are intimate like most Chinese Restaurants.

You can have a choice of A La Carte or set meals at this Hong Kong Cantonese style cuisine restaurant, that is next door to our hotel; the Hyatt Regency Vancouver. We have their special crispy roasted duck served with fresh crispy Iceberg Lettuce, Hot-sour soup, sizzling beef platter, pan-fried veggies. Price of the dinner for a party of four... More

Wow... I frequently travel into Hong Kong and China - I know real authentic Chines food. Yes, it's a bit overpriced, you're paying for the location and cleanliness, for an above average standards with Chinese restaurants. The roasted duck is exceptional, all dishes are fresh and delicious. If you're expecting Americanized Chinese food with click your heals service - this... More

Based on it's location, in the downtown, surrounded by office towers, the food was ok and the the prices were reasonable. Very traditional Chinese food restaurant, even offers a few dim sum dishes as appetizers for the dinner menu.

It's a huge chinese food restaurant with good dim sum. We've been there a few times now and its good. Nothing special. You won't get fantastic service, mouthwatering entrées, or that romantic ambiance and view. But you will get shrimp and pork dumplings, sticky rice and meatball bean curds! Thats what you came for isn't it? Just saying', it's a... More

Second night in Vancouver, fancied a Chinese. This restaurant is tucked away alongside the Hyatt. Lots of locals were eating here which we took as a good sign. We had the chicken and a prawn dish with fried noodles and bean sprouts. The food was average but the portions were enormous and frankly rather put us off. We felt we... More

Picked this restaurant on account of its good reviews and proximity to our hotel - my elderly father-in-law not being up for a long walk. It's actually situated in the basement of a shopping centre which isn't obvious from the address! Going in the evening most of the entrances to the centre were closed so it took an inordinate amount... More

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
