Pretty sure our burritos were microwaved. Wasn't a great taste, rice was meh, beans were good. Lathered in hot sauce helped, but not very impressed. Service was good and chips and salsa were also tasty. For $15 I would expect better burritos

I've been to Tio Pepe's several times and it has always been consistently good. The owner is charming and a great host. Highly recommended!
Expensive (for what you get), tasteless (rice and beans taste like gyprock), the "chilli relleno" (stuffed pepper) was fried in old frying oil which tasted like fish. Cheap house wine. Atmosphere below 0. To avoid: save your money!

The food is mostly southern Mexico fare. It is a cozy, ok small place in Commercial Street in the area that attracts bohemians and the likes. Service is reasonable and the menu, while not overly extensive, offers enough choices. I personally enjoyed the Cochinita Pibil...More
This is pretty good Mexican food, including some unusual items, like Mexican pork chops. Nice intimate little setting, and cold Dos Equis!
