I was in a party of 7 and all enjoyed their meals. Almost never happens. :) The signature Salmon dish was beautifully cooked, and the kids went crazy for the Parmesan fries and calamari. Friendly service, scenic location.

The Sandbar is always a nice place to come back to - we had a table on the deck outside with very nice views over the water and a lovely sunset. Service was friendly and very professional and there wasn't a long wait for the food. We had fish tacos to start, which came with blackened fish rather than fried... More

We (family of three) spent lot of time on Granville Island during our recent vacation. Unfortunately, we found this place for lunch on our last day there. Food and drinks were excellent but the service by our server stood out. I was going to get the bento box but my wife said it was a boring choice (We could get... More

The sandbar is one of our favourite restaurants in Vancouver. We sat on the outdoor patio with a great view of false creek. The wok squid is one of our favourites, we also had the seafood club, it was okay. The fish and chips are very good. The service was great with a very friendly server.

Situated exactly under the Granville bridge, this restaurant offers views of the hustle and bustle of False Creek. (We arrived in one of the cute False Creek ferries from the Maritime Museum, which was a blast!). Okay, so the crab cakes are stuffed with fresh crab (Yum!). The cedar block salmon was incredible too. The portions are big too. The... More

Once seated Jake took very good care of me. I felt special. After getting over the fact they were out of their signature salmon dish, they replaced it with another salmon. Wonderful meal. I sat next to the open kitchen so I could see all the action going on. They orchestrated putting the plates, i.e. Meals, together and the delivery... More

I have been to this restaurant several times. The views are amazing, unfortunately the food is not very good. We have had the clam chowder and it was pretty much big chunks of potato, not much flavour and served luke warm. The seafood clubhouse is a watery mess and the burger had no flavour and was dry. They have had... More

Visiting Granville Island and chose The Sandbar for lunch. Great location with an amazing decor & presentation. The food, drinks and service was just as good. Plenty to choose from the menu for food & beverages with great views. Pricing was reasonable and atmosphere relaxing.

Seafood was fresh but oddly bland and unspiced. Service was slipshod and poky. Prices were high for what you get. Better places on Granville.

I brought some guests from out of town here for a nice West Coast seafood dinner. We were seated up on their patio, which was nice and cool on such a hot and sunny evening. We shared a crab dip to start, and everyone tried the chowder, which earned glowing reviews. Our server was really nice and helpful with the... More
