"Sit your as*es down there and I'll be right with you". Lol. The attitude here is great. It's not rude, just fun. We went two days in a row, Sunday and Monday. The weekday was quieter compared to The hectic Sunday, and the sass and...More

There are many comments about people getting offended... Don't think they know the history of The Elbow Room. When located off Robson, it was well know for sarcastic, abrupt waiters. You were luck if you got one that added humour. Also had a don't complain...More

A friend and I finally had the chance to experience everything that is The Elbow Room. Be prepared to get attitude and sass from the very entertaining waitstaff. I had banana bread french toast and my friend had a Benny. Both acceptable breakfast fare but...More

We ate here twice while in Vancouver, the food is freshly cooked and very good, as is usual in Canada the portions are rather large. The service comes with as many insults as you want, very entertaining. Give it a try but you need a...More

My husband and I ate here all 3 mornings we were in Vancouver. The food is homemade and fantastic! And the sass from the owner and the waiters is amusing and good fun. Nothing fancy in the coffee or tea, but the food...and you gotta...More

If you haven't been to the Elbow Room and you have a sense of humor—GO THERE! The only way I can describe it is insult comedy at breakfast. The Elbow room is a Vancouver institution. We had been there before but it had been a...More

Visited for breakfast this morning straight from a 13 hr direct flight from Australia. The instant coffee is an acquired taste with no other choices for coffee. The menu was good with a lot of options for a omelettes and your standard breaky meals. Waiter...More

Quick weekday brunch with a friend. Fun brekkie with solid, hearty, straightforward, breakfast. A dash of humour and sass gave us the experience we were seeking. Recommended to those with a thick skin and a ready smile.

West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines
verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with
Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a
paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and
perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most
languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset
Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to
take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along

I think they are still running ,we went there in November, they do a very good business and perhaps they went on vacation. They are not open for dinner. They are only open for breakfast and lunch.
