We ordered room service one night and had breakfast there the next day. Food arrived hot and evertything was cooked to perfection. Our server was excellent!

Had breakfasts here while attending a conference at the hotel. The bistro is on the lobby level and connected to the small Denman Mall. The décor of wooden tables and chairs is plain but functional. Breakfasts ranged from a low of $9 for pancakes to $20 for the cold buffet. The buffet had a small selection of croissants, pastries, thinly... More

Went on a Friday expecting the prime rib special. To our surprise the prime rib dinners were discontinued in July 2015. They were popular with locals with excellent beef and it included the all you can eat buffet. So now its a different place. The decor has changed and its less welcoming and with all hard surfaces noisier. The menu... More

I took a friend here for dinner, I have dined here in the past and was looking forward to it. My seafood was SO overdone, my friends dinner was just so-so, have had better at diners. Very disappointed with the food but the service was very good.

During our stay at Coast plaza, this was they place to get breakfast. The breakfast products where okay... However the service was terrible. unfriendly and just wanted to hand out the recipe for the tips, while breakfast was included in the stay. At other hotels this wasn't the case at all... And they didn't earn it all.

Out first night in Canada and we couldn't decide where to eat. Walk around for ages on a Saturday evening. Then we walked past Brasserie Bistro. I was sure if we would get a seat as it looked busy, but we got one straight away. The German beer was absolutely amazing, best beer I have had in months. I then... More

Located in the Coast hotel this is a quaint place for dinner offering a limited selection of meals for dinner in higher end restaurant. The ribs were top of the line and fall of the bone with an unbelievable sauce. Our only complaint is the smaller size of the portions that come with the higher end restaurants. Service was unbelievably... More

My husband and I stayed at the Coast Plaza for a convention he attended and we ate breakfast each morning in this restaurant. The wait staff was also friendly and prompt. Our breakfasts were always cooked just like we asked and the best thing was the plating was beautiful. (I realize the look of a dish doesn't make the dish,... More

Most hotel restaurants are like background music; bland appeal for a general audience. I ordered the prime rib beef dip, earl grey tea, & chocolate mousse. I had low expectations & I was pleasantly surprised. The dipping sauce was not too salty & the fries were unsalted. The tea came in a large 2 cup ceramic pot & the mousse... More

Staying in West End

Neighborhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
