This is my constant go to place for casual downtown business lunches and after work drinkies. Always great service and always interesting beers on tap. Nice patio. Free hi speed wifi.

Popped in here today for a beer and managed to get a table outside. Lovely barmaid served us and nice beer! All in all a enjoyable drink and would recommend :)

Euro cup on, place packed, patio filled, promotional banners out. Place seemed ready to welcome the crowds they had. Too bad they didn't have pleasant servers or food worth waiting for. 30 minutes to get food? Come on, you knew it was going to be busy yet you cheapened out on labour costs. Sorry. This is the last time I... More

Great central pub. Good menu, delicous food and friendly service. Large range of ales at reasonable prices.

A Canada day tradition, but not anymore, burger was very greasy and undercooked, beef dip was very fatty, we usually have Killkenny beer, but was told no longer on the menu, will try somewhere else next year

We ate dinner here after a long day out walking. We stayed in the Auberge Hotel and this was on the ground floor of the hotel. It was kind of pricey and had only a few things on the menu. We had fish and chips; most other places included cole slaw but not here. Decent size piece of fish and... More

Three of us visited around 5:30 p.m. We ordered 3 beers and I ordered the fish and chips. Service was fast (they weren't particularly busy) but the server never once cracked a smile or appeared in the least interested in what she was doing. The beer was great but the fish was hardly there under thick batter. Wouldn't recommend and... More

A great pub, food was very good, service was better. Great drink selection too. No need to order at the bar, the server will come to you, which is the way things are done there. Not cheap but it was worth it. We had a group of ten people and we had a fun time. Popular with the locals after... More

Margeaux (server) 5-star. Asked questions regarding their menu and she was very honest, which I appreciated. Tried ordering an ahi burger, but the chef/cook refused to prepare any other way than seared (cool/too rare for me).

Ordered a nicoise salad and was served the worst piece of fish I have ever received from a restaurant. Old, smelly and 100% gone bad. Sent it back. Server delighfully brought me a chowder, and then charged me 10 bucks for it. I work one block away, and used to enjoy a pint and some food, but I will happily... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
