Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Very popular pub and microbrewery- witnessed queues on a few evenings. We enjoyed the food so went there more than once. Staff were pleasant and welcoming.

I went there for dinner last week. I sampled 5 different beers (killer cucumber was my favorite), and they were all delicious. I had the poutine and the beer soup, which were really good. After dinner, we wandered gastown, and ended up back at steamworks at the end of the night because it was our favorite spot! Would definitely recommend.

Walked in and the place looked what we were looking for quick service good food. The food wasn't bad, but the service was not good. Took ages to take our order. Then bought our mains before our starters, forget my cocktail, maybe it was just a bad day for them, it was busy, but really that's not an excuse

Really?! Is this craft brewery?! If so, you should be able order a preferred beer of choice. It is puzzling to me how on a Tuesday that either advertised local IPA is "not available"

These guys are serious about their beers and that theme is carried through the restaurant - we sat downstairs where they have big copper vats which looked great. Beer was fantastic, food was great (we had burgers) and our server was really nice.

We ate here a few times during our recent visit to Vancouver. There are 5 of us and we all tried to eat something different every time. And everything we tried was very good. The food is reasonably priced and the choice of steamworks beers was a hit with the men in our group. I had the filet mignon steak... More

Ended up eating at Steamworks a few times during our stay. Although a very popular venue we never had to wait very long for a table. A friendly welcome and good service. The 4 beer sampler was a great hit. We tried salads, pasta and burgers - all good choices.

Awesome atmosphere. Decently priced food and drinks. This is a very raucous and boisterous place. Not for a quiet evening but a great pre cursor to partying. Love their great craft beers. Love it as always.

Staying in Gastown

Neighborhood Profile
Gastown
A visit to Gastown is like turning back the clock and stepping into a bygone era. With the distinction of being Vancouver's oldest neighborhood, the many plaques that stud the cobbled streets of Gastown tell the story of its colorful past, giving Vancouver's history a more lively presence here than anywhere else. Having been originally founded around a popular worker's saloon, it's no wonder that today some of Vancouver's best micro-breweries, creative cocktail joints, and corner bars can be found in this area. Classical charm suffuses its many vintage boutiques and the brick-built structures that an army of creative professionals call home.
