Three of us squeezed in here, 10ish on a Tuesday July morning. Packed to the rafters. My buddy raved about his chocolate milkshake, but we found the Club sandwiches only fair. Good shoestring fries. Had to order mayo on the side as the sandwich was dry. To their credit, they used quite a lot of turkey. My wife's eggs benny... More

Sophie's Cosmic Cafe is a great spot for lunch. They serve great casual food, as they are a diner. Would highly recommend either their garden burger or grilled cheese.

It's been about seven years since I've been here and nothing has changed. My wife and I tried it again for lunch. We both had the burger and fries. Good and hot with awesome quick service.

We been here as a group, while we all got what we order one person was waiting for the order. To make the moment better she offered here a fruit dish to join others...so nice of you. Had a veg. falafel plate, it was a huge in portion and super tasty. I loved the breads with came with it.

Good food in a fun surrounding. Patio was open. Kinda diner style environment, plastic glasses for water. Pleasant staff.

I ate outside because the weather was really Nice and warm. I ordered a latte which was given to me cold. I asked for another one, I did not ask for apologies but I had excuses mumbled in 1 second, which made me feel bad for the waitress. My main meal arrived cold as well but did not want to... More

The food is OK and not disappointing but neither does it live up to their so-called signature dishes. Good place for families with kids that aren't too demanding and the decor is retro novelty. The little veranda nice on a good sunny day.

Staying in Kitsilano

Neighborhood Profile
Kitsilano is one of Vancouver's most transformative neighbourhoods. With a long history of coffee culture and poetry readings, its days of flower children and buskers may be long-gone, but not without leaving their mark on the number of organic restaurants and fair-trade cafes in the area. At the centre of Kitsilano ("Kits" for short) the almost idyllic expanse of Kits Beach offers the opportunity for a relaxed afternoon of beach volleyball or sunbathing. Along with the beachfront, nearby public pools and trendy street-beats have driven up the homeowners prices, making it a haven for stylish home goods stores, from design and furniture, to supplies and appliances. The multitude of both families and public spaces also make it a happening neighbourhood in the summer, when festivals and fairs take to Kits' streets.
