Called in here before setting off on our exploration of Stanley Park and English bay. We walked here from Olympic Village so built up an appetite. With the snow glinting in the sunshine and views over the Marina, this is a lovely place to enjoy breakfast. I had the Grilled Chicken crêpes, one daughter had the Chorizo Scramble and the... More

Recently renovated with a wide selection of more than 30 wines on draft. Great view of False creek beside sea wall and marina. A great varied menu and very good quality.

We just came home from our Vancouver Dine Out Festival (until February 5) experience. Many participating restaurants all over Metro Vancouver participate and offer a special sampling menu. Our offering is $40 for a 3-course meal (matching wines for an extra 25). You are treated to a tapenade of olives before dinner. Then the bread basket of freshly baked breads.... More

The food here is really very good and there are great views of the waterfront. The service was generally good, but maybe a bit too familiar.

Have been here several times. Location is perfect if you work down town or walking along the boardwalk. Not much selection and bit expensive for what you get.

We were at the Watermark for a special dinner with family at the end of December. The service was excellent and the meal was very tasty. My adult children and I started off with some oysters for an appetizer - they were some of the cleanest, tastiest oysters the three of us had ever tried. For dinner, I had the... More

Had dinner on New Year's Day. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and there is a good atmosphere. Personally, I found the food to be average. My wife and I had the bouillabaisse and frankly it was just ok. That said the seafood and fish were good quality, but the whole thing lacked of flavour. Service is slightly pretentious which in... I have a gluten allergy, but that was no problem. They had a few items listed on the menu, but the waitress said almost anything could be made gluten free if I wanted it. I chose the tuna albacore and it was excellent. We started with a bottle of Naramata wine, which was $42 and was great. Their wine selections... More

Provence Marinaside is a fabulous place to take someone for a special occasion. The location on the north shore of False Creek, allows for a scenic walk along the water, before or after dinner. The restaurant's ambience and decor provide a great backdrop to conversations. The menu has a broad repertoire of platinum hits to choose, with emphasis on fresh... More

Staying in Yaletown & False Creek North

Neighborhood Profile
Yaletown & False Creek North
Yaletown has risen from the ashes of its rough-and-tumble industrial past into one of Vancouver's new chicest neighbourhoods. The place responsible for originating of the phrase 'skid row' might not call to mind independently-owned boutiques and terraced cafes, but having swallowed the waterfront lines of False Creek North, the resulting amalgamation transformed the area into an elegant, stylish hotspot with a view. Its youthful vibe owes to the many young families and young professionals who live there, bolstering nightlife and restaurant variety along its cobbled streets. It is the flagship neighbourhood for modern revitalization, and the It-Spot for boutique hotels and modish eats.
