And not as expensive as some of the other fine Vancouver restaurants. Delicious sauces, meats, fish, veggies. Everything is superb (maybe excepting the bread). Good but not perfect service. No views. Quiet--no problem hearing the person diagonally across the table. Highly recommend.

We dined at Le Crocodile during our trip to Vancouver. It was my first experience with French cuisine and I am impressed. The restaurant has a very unique atmosphere, great service and good food. I would recommend making a reservation in advance. The dish that was my personal favorite was foie gras creme brulee, which is served as a part... More

First of all, remember that Canada is a little pricey in general over the USA--but the exchange helps. The hotel clerk recommended this quaint little French restaurant and since we had just departed a Celebrity cruise second rate food was just not going to do. We ordered two starters and a lobster pasta to share along with wine. (The split... More

Lovely restaurant and a very friendly staff at the hostess desk. Once seated the staff was less engaging and definitely a disappointment. The waiter was very matter of fact and the sommelier was not very helpful and when i found it necessary to pour more wine his comment was you should not have to work. That is true so why... More

The food was divine and the service impeccable. We came for our 53rd wedding anniversary lunch and we lucky to get a table. The room was beautifully appointed and the menu choices were numerous and reasonable in price. The service was quick and attentive. . I choose the scallops with a mushroom soup first course and my husband choose the... More

We went here with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday. The atmosphere is cosy and tables are far apart enough that you have privacy and noise is not an issue. Service is excellent! We started with a delicious little amuse bouche, a goats cheese and roasted tomato tart. We all had starters, mains and desserts and all were wonderful!... More

You must indulge yourselves and pay a visit. Appealing french cuisine in a curiously dated yet contemporary setting. Excellent wine list and very attentive service.

Attended at lunch time with a business friend, place was packed for a Thursday. However, the service was spot on. The food par excellence. Black linguine with scallops, sauce to soak up the prom frites ..to die for. Always a great selection of fine wine to pair. ENJOY THIS FINE FRENCH RESTAURANT WHENEVER YOU CAN.

I was recommended to this place by the owners of the b&b I was staying at to celebrate my birthday so I went the day before to see what it was like. It was fantastic so I went for my birthday and had another excellent meal.

Staying in West End

Neighborhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
