Went to the restaurant as part of the Vancouver International Wine Festival. Wines were from France (Jean Luc Columbo winery) and the pairings were well done. Service was top notch and the food was very (6 courses with a wine paired to each).

Le Crocodile is what we call a classic French restaurant. Harder to do than to say.... They are not, like many, 'trying' to be a classsic restaurant, they are. And have done so for more than 30 years. Chef Michel Jacob has probably seen all the best new chef of the city pass through HIS kitchen. When I feel like... More

Over the last 20 years, I go here once a year for a special dinner. Le Crocodile never fails in service or food. The wait people are gracious; they don't want to be your friend. Best foie gras!

Lots of people commented about the excellent service but we did not feel that great. do not get me wrong, service was ok, our waiter had no smile at all. He had done what he had to do but we did not feel any warmth at all. they... More

I have been to this restaurant several times during the past 20 years and would highly recommend it. The dishes have always been delicious and good value for money. Authentic French cuisine.

This is my favourite Vancouver restaurant. The food is wonderful. The service is impeccable. The atmosphere is elegant but not at all stuffy. Every visit has been a memorable one.

We had amazing service. The lack of pretence was beautiful. Our wine was exactly what we had hoped for. A truly wonderful experience

Without exception, we have found the food, service and atmosphere to be consistently outstanding. Their attention to detail, excellent quality and lovely presentation add to a wonderful meal. Ideal to go to for special occasions or for out of town guests.

Staying in West End

Neighborhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
