The Landmark Hotpot House on Cambie Street has an awesome reputation. We visited many years ago and took our friends there for a celebration dinner, taking care to book well in advance. Even so we had to wait for nearly half an hour for our table as the restaurant was so busy. To be frank, the place was jam packed... More

Could have received a better score if they didn't run out of ice cream for dessert. No substitute was even offered.

I've been enjoying this restaurant since the late 1980s, and continue to have the same great enjoyment till now. I usually come for the late night supper after dancing. The late night menu consists of a good varieties of small dishes, noodle and rice. The cooking is wonderful comparing with some other late-night eateries in town. I also want to... More

It has been quite some time I have not visited this restaurant since they are always busy; not easy to get a seat. Finally found a table at a time surprised to me last night; perhaps due to long weekend when most people were out. Restaurant is still busy and food is also stayed fresh n tasty. To correct the... We've always resisted patronizing this establishment because so many Chinese hot pot restaurants offer All You Can Eat (AYCE)........until today. At this restaurant one pays for each and every item that one orders unlike the AYCE hot pots where you can eat your head off and the bill comes to about $60 for a party of two. The menu selection... Fresh lobster and geoduck serve with either hotpot or sashimi are both excellent! Rice cooked in small pot is disappointing! It is cooked rice serve in a pot, not the tradition way of cooking rice with the pot. That kind of cooking we expected crispy and burned rice on the bottom of the pot! You shall be able to smell... Overall the experience was great! They have a big enough parking lot in the back which is usually really messy but at night it gets better. The hot pot is good, not the best for the price you pay. The service is always great with lots of smiles. They like to laugh and joke around with you. Food is good,... More

Went there to celebrate my sister and her husband's anniversary. Reservation is a must. Food was very good, price is not bad, service was prompt but a bit rush. I don't mind to refer or see myself coming back here.

After my last visit since 7 - 8 years, I went to this restaurant again with my friends for birthday party. Luckily arriving at 6:15pm, there was only a short queue and we could sit down to order our food quickly. But it also took us 15 minutes to look for a parking space nearby though they have their own... More

Our family just had our second visit last week and the dinner was most enjoyable. The tables are well spaced out and noise level is not a problem. Be prepared to pay at least $ 25.00 a person or up as you pay for your meat, vegetables selection etc. I have been to all you can eat hot pot restaurants... More

Staying in Shaughnessy

Neighborhood Profile
Shaughnessy
Residential neighbourhood to the ultra-wealthy, the gorgeous manor houses centred around The Crescent area are a fabled sight to behold. Shaughnessy is Vancouver's most verdant plotted neighbourhood, and its tree-lined streets, walking routes, bike trails, and charming public parks make for an ideal location to spend and afternoon communing with nature. Consequently, it is also the botanical centre of the city, featuring conservatories and an expansive Botanical Garden, taming and sculpting the wild into seasonal viewing areas and enchanting landscapes. Quiet, elegant Shaughnessy excels at providing the Three Gs: Gardens, Golfing, and Galleries.
