I had been to Kobe steakhouse many years ago and enjoyed the experience with all the theatrics. This visit on a Friday night was very mundane. The restaurant is quite small and crowded and consequently noisy. Our chef who was cooking for 9 did not "connect" with the diners as he just went about cooking without comment. There were few... This restaurant services the hotel and visitor to Vancouver crowd. Part of the expected dining experience is the fact that the food is cooked infront of you.presentation should be a big part of the experience. The chef was somewhat unenthusiastic in his cooking presentation, without much customer engagement. The food tasted 3 stars out of 5. The bill came with... More

Bring your wallet gets pricey extremely quick....sure the chef cooking the food infront of you is a great concept....but waiting and waiting and waiting until the table is full to begin is not. Been here a few times now, food is so so price is high , show is great....wont be back.

We were seated on third floor. with other families with no explanation even though we did not mind it but it would be nice if reception would let on know in advanced. Food was was really good, tasty and fine quality, Chef was kind and friendly with kids. we have been told that we could buy coupon from Groupon, when... More

We had a opportunity to visit this restaurant while on vacation in Vancouver. Don't try without a reservation, you likely won't get in. Busy place. Your meal is cooked infront of you by the Japanese chef. Funny guy.. I tried the chicken and beef combo. Came with veggies, rice, and noodles. Very good but pricey. Others in our group had... More

The food is pretty good (not stellar, probably above average), but you really go for the experience because the chefs cook at the table and are quite entertaining. Good for groups. A pricey experience, I'd go again. My Old Fashioned wasn't up to par

Visited with family. Great food, my kids loved the fried rice. The hibachi steak was excellent, others had shrimp, lobster and wagyu beef, everybody loved it. I personally recommend the hibachi steak. Service was very good. We had a great time.

wonderful dining experience along with very good food. Little pricy, so expensive if you are taking the entire family. Fun experience along with good food and service. No complaints and will definitely go back again.

Great experience with lovely food. The chef was really friendly and funny. It felt a little rushed though. It would have been nice if egg fried rice was served instead of plain rice and more dipping sauces too. Overall it was great but must admit we've had better tepanyaki experiences elsewhere.

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
