Nice decor and pleasant food presentation. But overall it kind of seems a bit snobby and pretentious. The food was good but the service was a bit slow as there is a large seating capacity. Worth a try.

Went in just by accident but was very impressed. Waiters, etc were attentive but did't hover. Food was great - although I didn't try the seafood. Was quite pricey but we shared a salad and desert and were full and would go back again!

While this was a really tasty meal and the price/value was also great, the heavy-handed pianist on the stairwell was almost unbearable. We walked past him as we were seated in the open-venue upstairs area and my ears hurt. Talk about banging the ivories! But this review is about more than the annoying music in the background, the food was... More

While on an Anniversary trip with my hubby, we enjoyed a lovely dinner at Joe Fortes on Mother's Day. We had reservations, thankfully. Dinner was delicious and our waiter, Roben, was very helpful. The clam chowder (white) was not very flavorful.... too bland and runny.... needs to be "clamier" and creamier. But the rest of the meal was great. One... More

We stopped into Joe Fortes for a late lunch on our last day in Vancouver. It was a very pleasant end to our Vancouver visit. A highlight of the lunch was the made-in-house lobster oil and balsamic vinegar served with bread before our meal. For lunch, I had clam chowder and Caesar salad. While the chowder was very potato-heavy, my... More

Great service and food. The restaurant is always full, so make reservations. If you are just a couple, you may be able to walk-in and get seating at the oyster bar--of so, do it and you will have fun talking to the oyster bar staff & other patrons. The place is loud, so I wouldn't recommend this place for a... More

We were on a four day break in Vancouver and decided that we would have our final meal in this wonderful city at Joe Fortes. We were not disappointed. The restaurant was extremely busy and we were glad we had booked. We were efficiently shown to a table and there was no time lag between sitting, being handed our menu,... More
