Well, I'll start by saying that this is a good place for family gatherings. A rather limited menu but the food is consistently good. There is free 3 hour parking but might be hard to find during busy summer months.

Would not have expected this kind of treatment in such a quaint place (Granville Island). We were told all table indoors were reserved when we came upon this empty restaurant for brunch. When we asked why tables were empty if that was the case, the hostess (who was hardly warm) said, "Oh they will fill up with reservations in the... More

Dinner for six on a Friday night. We did not expect such poor service and disappointing food. The waiter even questioned my husband when he ordered a gin martini with a splash of vermouth. He seemed to have an attitude. Two of us ordered the mussels and the fact Dockside would serve such miserably small and tasteless mussels in a... More

We were travelling to Vancouver and decided to have dinner at the Dockside to be on the water and have seafood. Both were well served at the Dockside. Our 15 year old daughter loved the food and the view. We had a lovely time. Our server was attentive, and not too intrusive - just the right blend of friendliness yet... More

Breakfast was delicious - I was a little leery of the description of the breakfast potatoes, but they were the best thing on the plate. Eggs cooked perfectly; hubby had oatmeal which was delicious and unique. Beautiful setting, excellent server. The night before we sat outside by firepit and had wine and spring rolls. Service was pretty good.

We were there on a business outing, there were about 90 of us. From the outside it looks like a small industrial building but, when you walk in, you are transformed into large rooms of modern luxury. They have table cloths, cloth napkins & very comfortable seating. Even with our large group there was plenty of room between tables so... More

There is no better location to dine than on the Dockside Restaurant patio on a beautiful summer evening. The food was great, the service was personal and attentive. I had the Rack of Lamb and my wife the Seafood Carbonara. Both were terrific. The patio had Hurricane torches and many heaters on as the evening cooled. I would definately return,... More

The Dockside- Excellent view of the Vancouver skyline from the restaurant. Both inside and outside dining. Good service. Reasonable prices for what you experience. We had the Prime Rib French Dip with fries. The Dip was delicious, but the fries were lukewarm and had been sitting too long before being served. We mentioned this to our server at the end... More

We had a fun evening with an old friend, and what made it extra fun was our waiter, Patrick. The food was great - lamb and halibut, and great desserts. Location is great, right on the water.

Neighborhood Profile
Granville Island & Fairview
One of the favoured neighbourhoods for a day out, Granville Island's packed theatres and art studios, hobby shops and book stores, restaurants and bars, all offer a plethora of activities and entertainment options, leaving no one bored. The highlight of the area is the Fisherman's Wharf, where the seagulls overhead and the smell of the sea invigorate its many visitors, some of who are there to shop the fresh wares at the public market, and others of whom have arrived to take in the eclectic atmosphere. A popular seafood destination, and Vancouver's leading spot for improv and amateur theatre, Granville Island is an indulgent, welcoming entertainment centre in any season or time of day.
