Lovely patio; fire pit at night. Great view of river and city. We had drinks on the patio with friends. It was very comfortable with cushioned club chairs. We rambled elsewhere to eat, but what we saw other's eating looked delicious.

After the hustle and bustle of a very busy Granville Island morning we enjoyed a very relaxing lunch here even with two small grandchildren The staff were excellent finding us a corner on the patio where could park the stroller and ensuring we were shaded from the sun The setting was so relaxing The food was very good but perhaps... This location is perfect whether you are lucky enough on a warm summer's evening to be seated at the patio, or instead sit inside. Unfortunately with the patio jammed packed, it seemed that the kitchen was overwhelmed and items arrived with glacial speed. However, making up for that the food quality was very good (if not quite at fine dining... More

We had dinner at the Dockside restaurant. Service was great, food was good. Great outdoor dining. The only suggestion would be more good wine choices by the glass. Otherwise a great choice for a warm summer evening!

we ran into one of the rudest waiters we've come across in a while... thankfully he wasn't serving us! after that rocky start, it was a nice occasion, the location was very pretty overlooking the ahrbour at Granville Island. The food was pretty average though, and in retrospect, we would have been better at one of the other locations on... More

This is a great patio location to sit close to the water and have amazing views. Meal was just ok, nothing memorable. Service was ok but not extraordinary. Started with an order of mussels but didn't love the featured broth with dill and capers. Had an over sauced pasta dish, delicious halibut dish and prime rib. Wouldn't return for a... More

There restaurant was very open and bright and as the name suggests was on the water. Was a nice place to sit and watch the boats. The wait staff was friendly but had not been working there for very long so was not well informed. We shared a cesura salad and fish and chips which was more than enough for... More

Dockside has one of the nicest patios for dining out. You have a beautiful view of the harbor and you can watch people strolling on the seawall and also see the boats coming into the marina. We had a lovely table in the shade. We looked at the wine menu ahead of time, thought their wine prices were somewhat inflated... More

I have to give this place an average rating even if the food was good and the waiter apologized profusely for being slow. A management problem: too few staff and big group to serve. The cocktails were so diluted that they tasted like water. They were sent back and done properly. The first two main dishes arrived and then we... More

Came here for lunch with a friend and we had a great time. Parking was a bit tough, but it’s the weekend on Granville island, so go early or expect a bit of a parking spot hunt. The restaurant has a nice outdoor area so we sat outside b/c it was a beautiful day. We were able to enjoy good... More

Staying in Granville Island & Fairview

Neighborhood Profile
Granville Island & Fairview
One of the favoured neighbourhoods for a day out, Granville Island's packed theatres and art studios, hobby shops and book stores, restaurants and bars, all offer a plethora of activities and entertainment options, leaving no one bored. The highlight of the area is the Fisherman's Wharf, where the seagulls overhead and the smell of the sea invigorate its many visitors, some of who are there to shop the fresh wares at the public market, and others of whom have arrived to take in the eclectic atmosphere. A popular seafood destination, and Vancouver's leading spot for improv and amateur theatre, Granville Island is an indulgent, welcoming entertainment centre in any season or time of day.
