I had a business dinner here with several co-workers and was very much impressed. For my local friends, Chambar was in everyone's top 10 for the city and I see why. Great Ambiance, the place was packed by 7 pm and a great vibe. The...More

We have tried the lamb, tartare and pulpo tiraditos, everything was perfect and very tasty. The ambiance and decor were both excellent.

The food is delicious! We booked dinner at Chambar our first night in Vancouver. It was recommended on TripAdvisor and was walking distance from our lodging. Though we had to walk through a seedy part of town, the restaurant itself is in a gentrified area....More

The environment of the restaurant is really great. You can choose between sitting indoors or be in the terrace area. The welcoming and the service is really nice, like their people. I ate a Nage de Flétan, means: Roasted Halibut, cooked with fresh peas, sorrel,...More

Chic without being pretentious, Chambar is my favourite restaurant in the city - I have been many times since 2010. I fell in love with Chambar when it was still in it's smaller location. The ambiance was great, and the food was on point! I...More

Went with family. Sat inside. Very pretty decor. Make a reservation, can get very busy. I had the brochette du porc. Very good. Not your regular breakfast foods.

Stopped in for a coffee. It was very good. Left without my bag but when I returned five minutes later they were holding it ready for me. Nice service

Large new facility in an old building just a short distance from Gastown, and an outdoor area, immediately up from the Chinatown-Stadium train stop, Large bar to meet friends, but clearly an upscale choice in the area.

A visit to Gastown is like turning back the clock and
stepping into a bygone era. With the distinction of
being Vancouver's oldest neighborhood, the many
plaques that stud the cobbled streets of Gastown tell
the story of its colorful past, giving Vancouver's
history a more lively presence here than anywhere
else. Having been originally founded around a popular
worker's saloon, it's no wonder that today some of

There is no formal dress code however they work their butt off in putting quality food in the plate and offer professional service so my philosophy is to not 'underdress". I had a suit no tie.

We make our bread fresh daily inhouse, if you can let me know the date you were in, and describe what you had and I'll see if I can get you a recipe. The starter is 40 years old and not something we can share.
