We got lost in Vancouver and just drove up this street. We were hungry and saw this restaurant and it had breakfast and lunch. It was around noon and we had not eaten so we decided to go in. We ordered our breakfast and the food was served quickly. The omelets were cooked well without the eggs being runny. The... More

My teenage daughter and I went here for breakfast. Good Menu selection, not cheap, but huge plates! We ordered Yogurt and fruit; it was a huge plate of different fruits and lots of yogurt. Also had a mexican breakfast tortilla of some kind. It was really good and lots! -Kept me going until dinner. Service was good. If we are... More

Great service, great menu, great price point. I like how there are early bird specials even when the regular menu is very affordable in this expensive breakfast city. Nice touch that tofu can be substituted for eggs at no charge. Lots of sweet and savory options.

When I'm in Vancouver for an early appointment or destination, this is the place I'll seek out for breakfast. My plate is inevitably heaped with especially tasty morning comestibles. It's not necessarily about food fashion, but always repletion. I simply love eating there.

First time I visited this restaurant about 2 or 3 years ago. It happened just because my favourite breakfast place at this area "Yew First" that was at the corner of Yew Street and First Avenue, went out of business. Cafe Zen was half a block away so I went there instead. The service was very good and the meal... More

If your looking for a solid hearty breakfast that doesn't break any bank, this is your spot. I'm a sucker for the California Benny. Staff is usually super nice and the location is fun to grab a coffee afterwards and take a walk to the beach just a block away. Definitely recommend.

Very pleasant area, nice little place and great breakfast. If you're in the area, this is a great place to go for a breakfast or quick lunch. Not too far from the beach and there is always free parking

Big pancakes and huge helpings make this a good value restaurant. It does feel a bit like a cafeteria and you're in a bit of a fishbowl. But if you are with people who just want somewhere clean with good service and great prices for good breakfast food, this is the place in Kits.

Busy breakfast/brunch hangout in Kitsilano, often with a lineup out the door. Feels like sitting in a school canteen - students, young parents with kids squeezed in side by side with tables almost touching. Excellent food speedily served with eggs, bacon, pancakes piled high in hungry-sized portions. Don't put your fork down or your plate will be whisked away! Sundays... More

Looked it up on trip advisor. Was looking for a small quaint little place to eat and found this place. For good price and amount of food, atmosphere, very friendly staff and great wall pictures to get lost in thought. This place will do it for you.

Staying in Kitsilano

Neighborhood Profile
Kitsilano is one of Vancouver's most transformative neighbourhoods. With a long history of coffee culture and poetry readings, its days of flower children and buskers may be long-gone, but not without leaving their mark on the number of organic restaurants and fair-trade cafes in the area. At the centre of Kitsilano ("Kits" for short) the almost idyllic expanse of Kits Beach offers the opportunity for a relaxed afternoon of beach volleyball or sunbathing. Along with the beachfront, nearby public pools and trendy street-beats have driven up the homeowners prices, making it a haven for stylish home goods stores, from design and furniture, to supplies and appliances. The multitude of both families and public spaces also make it a happening neighbourhood in the summer, when festivals and fairs take to Kits' streets.
