Absolutely delicious food and lovely friendly service. This meal was one of the highlights of our stay in Vancouver. A memorable meal, with beautifully cooked and presented inventive dishes. Thank you so much!

The Blue Water Cafe is something special and not only because of the gourmet food served there, certainly one of the best restaurants overall in Vancouver and surely the best seafood place there. When I made the reservation a few weeks ago I made a comment that we would like to celebrate our wedding anniversary at the Blue Water Cafe.... More

Amazing. Tried to get a reservation for three days. Finally got it for 9:30 PM.. I am glad we went. The Sushi was great, had a sea scallop sushi, was made with a little roe, Fantastic oysters too. We had the Arctic Char for the main course. Never had one prepared so well. If I am back in Vancouver will... More

Over all it's. Great restaurant. To bad the clientele. Does not dress for this great place come on. Just cause you have money. Leave the ski jackets at home. Service is great.

We planned this restaurant well in advance of our trip to Vancouver, and the dining experience was excellent. Dishes were presented artistically, the service was impeccable, and the ingredients delicious. But...some dishes just didn't have all the flavor profiles you would expect and the portions were a little light considering the price. The seafood tower was skimpy in the shrimp... More

I have been a regular at Blue Water since it opened and have given it high marks however I had the worst service imaginable. Twenty minutes after we ordered our wine and it sat on the side table another server decanted and poured our wine. It took an hour after we were seated to be told the specials of the... More

We had an absolutely incredible dinner at the Blue Water Café in early August, 2016. We wanted a restaurant known for its seafood, but Blue Water Cafe exceeded even our highest expectations. Probably the best seafood we've ever had anywhere (including Seattle, Los Angeles, San Francisco, or New York)! The oysters were delicious -- briny, creamy, and nice and chubby... More

I'm embarrassed now to report that we only just enjoyed our first dinner at Blue Water Cafe after several years in Vancouver. Guests from Texas made reservations after reading about it on Trip Advisor as #1. We thought it could not live up to such pressure. Glad to say we were wrong. Food and service were impeccable. Kudos to Jennifer... More

We started at the bar...cocktails were exceptional. After being seated at our table each course of the freshest seafood was delivered. All was prepared beautifully. It is a bit difficult to get a reservation here, so try as many days in advance as you can. It is worth it.

I was at Blue Water with my family celebrating our daughter's 28th birthday. The food and service were wonderful! My husband and daughter both had oysters and said they were some of the best they've eaten anywhere in the world. The sushi was also incredible. I had the cod - so fresh and perfectly prepared! If we are back in... More

Staying in Yaletown & False Creek North

Neighborhood Profile
Yaletown & False Creek North
Yaletown has risen from the ashes of its rough-and-tumble industrial past into one of Vancouver's new chicest neighbourhoods. The place responsible for originating of the phrase 'skid row' might not call to mind independently-owned boutiques and terraced cafes, but having swallowed the waterfront lines of False Creek North, the resulting amalgamation transformed the area into an elegant, stylish hotspot with a view. Its youthful vibe owes to the many young families and young professionals who live there, bolstering nightlife and restaurant variety along its cobbled streets. It is the flagship neighbourhood for modern revitalization, and the It-Spot for boutique hotels and modish eats.
